Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Renzo Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Gurr!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurr moves out of range of the body kick from Gracie.
Gurr throws a counter combo.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gurr avoids it really well and circles away.
Gurr lands with an uppercut that bounces Gracie off the cage and back into range.
Gracie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gracie tries to clinch but Gurr moves out of range.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gurr tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gurr to the ground. Gurr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gurr connects with a jab.
Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Gurr drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
Gracie lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Joe Gurr has been cut.
Gracie throws an elbow but it misses.
Gracie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gurr pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renzo Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Gurr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gracie looks for the body kick but Gurr saw that one coming.
Gurr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gurr.
It looked like Gracie was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gurr.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gracie.
Donk. Gurr catches Gracie right on the button with a cross.

Oooooh!!! Gurr has knocked Gracie down with a huge combo! Gurr steps away and waves a wobbly Gracie back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Gracie is rocked!


It looks like Renzo Gracie has been cut.
Gracie drops his hands for a split second and Gurr immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Gracie face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Gurr follows up with a right hand that knocks Gracie into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Joe Gurr!
Renzo Gracie was interviewed post fight and said 'Should of ducked!'.
