Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christian Oliva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Blixt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blixt has chosen Looptroop - Don't Hate The Player as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Oliva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Blixt! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blixt tries to close the distance and clinch but Oliva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Oliva stuffs the takedown. Blixt looks to land a combination but Oliva avoids it well. Oliva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Blixt tries to clinch up. Blixt takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jay Blixt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blixt throws a series of punches but Oliva moves out of range. Oliva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Oliva keeps the fight on the outside. Oliva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Oliva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Blixt tries to kick Oliva off but Oliva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Oliva is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Oliva seems to be looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Oliva is keen to just control but Blixt is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Oliva seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Blixt blocking the ground and pound attempt from Oliva. Oliva wants to control but Blixt is keeping him busy. Oliva is breathing heavily. Oliva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blixt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Blixt is refusing to be controlled, as Oliva sits in half guard. Blixt wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blixt is just riding it out for now. Oliva eventually gives up the hold. Oliva with the ground and pound but Blixt uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Oliva wants to control from the top but Blixt keeps moving. Oliva won't allow Blixt to get back to his feet. Oliva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Blixt scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Blixt tries to clinch up but Oliva circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Oliva dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Oliva throws a head kick but Blixt moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blixt looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Oliva has his takedown stuffed and Blixt counters with a nice body shot. Blixt throws a head kick but Oliva moves out of range.
Blixt clinches. Blixt manages to break the clinch.
Blixt staying out of range there. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Oliva checks a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oliva shoots for a double leg takedown but Blixt sprawls well. He's pushed Oliva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Blixt throws a sloppy head kick and Oliva moves out of range easily. Blixt staying out of range there. Oliva with a poor takedown and Blixt counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Oliva! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Oliva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliva srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.
Oliva trying to control the hands but Blixt breaks the grip. Oliva tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Oliva wants to hold on but Blixt pushes him away. Blixt prevents Oliva from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Blixt is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Blixt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Oliva as he avoids it easily. Blixt fails to land with a series of punches.
Blixt looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Christian Oliva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blixt tries to clinch up. Oliva tries for a takedown but Blixt circles away easily enabling Blixt to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blixt is looking to clinch but Oliva is avoiding it.
Blixt throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Oliva's head. Oliva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Blixt is looking to clinch. Blixt rushes Oliva and presses him up against the cage. Oliva fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Oliva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Blixt just stands there and leans against the cage. Blixt manages to break the clinch.
Oliva throws a combination that misses and Blixt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Oliva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blixt swivels and escapes. Blixt feints and then cracks Oliva's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Oliva down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliva keeps the fight on the outside. Oliva takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Blixt moves into the clinch. Blixt breaks the clinch.
Blixt rushes Oliva and presses him up against the cage. Blixt controlling the action here for a moment.
Blixt manages to break the clinch.
Oliva tries for a takedown but Blixt circles away easily and Blixt counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Blixt moves into the clinch. Blixt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Blixt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Oliva shoots and misses and Blixt counters with a low kick, right behind Oliva 's knee. Oliva with a poor takedown and Blixt counters with a two punch combo. Blixt looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Oliva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Blixt stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Oliva closes the distance but Blixt moves to the side and Blixt counters with an outside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliva on the wrong end of a nice hook. Blixt clinches. Blixt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Blixt takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blixt looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Blixt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Blixt throws a head kick that misses and Oliva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Blixt! Oliva wants to control the pace but Blixt is squirming around nicely. Oliva goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Blixt is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliva looking for a guillotine here but Blixt defends easily.
Oliva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blixt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oliva working for a triangle but Blixt defends it easily.
Oliva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blixt is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Oliva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blixt's back instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Blixt is trying to shake Oliva off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Oliva won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Oliva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Blixt counters by moving into the clinch. Blixt taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Oliva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. The referee calls for Blixt to work.
Oliva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blixt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Oliva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blixt breaks the clinch.
Blixt has managed to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay Blixt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Blixt has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
