Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eliseo Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Eliseo Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Julio Jones! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones looking to score a takedown here. Allen is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Allen's guard. Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Allen has wrist control. Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jones drives through and clinches with Allen against the cage.
Allen successfully pulls guard.
Allen keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Allen wants to control the position but Jones says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Allen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones takes an elbow to the temple. Jones with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones jumps guard and drags Allen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Allen stands up and waves to Jones to follow him. Jones takes the fight into the clinch. Allen misses with a punch on the inside.
Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jones stands up and beckons Allen to join him on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Allen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones. Allen is looking to improve his position.
Allen is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. Jones not doing much here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Allen is not content to let Jones control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Allen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones's guard. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Allen looking to control.

He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Allen throws a big elbow that misses. Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Allen defends it easily. Jones clinches up with Allen and pushes him back against the cage. Jones has clasped his hands together around Allen's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Allen tries to escape but Jones is in control. Allen tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position. Jones throws an elbow but Allen slips to the side and avoids it well. Allen wants to control but Jones postures up. Allen is not content to let Jones control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Allen works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Allen's head. Jones is just content to waste time from the top position. Allen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Allen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Jones has Allen up against the cage in a clinch.
Allen is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Maybe Allen would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones has Allen pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jones pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Allen tumbling to the mat - Jones dives into Allen's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones prevents Allen from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Allen dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Allen's head and hops out. Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Allen is letting Jones control him for a moment. Jones trying to control the position but Allen is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones in side control, just content to control the action for now. Allen is not content to let Jones control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Allen clinches up against the cage. Jones jumps guard and drags Allen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Julio Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Allen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. Allen tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Jones throwing shots but Allen is blocking nicely. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Allen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Allen. Jones is looking to advance position but Allen has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Allen looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Allen working for a guillotine from mount but Jones is in no mood to give up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Eliseo Allen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Julio Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jones tries to lock up and control but Allen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Julio Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
