Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atlas Kivi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Gorden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kivi's entrance music is Metallica - Ride the Lightning. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kivi scores with a nice head shot.
Kivi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gorden was well out of range. Poor timing from Kivi.
Gorden lands a nice hook to Kivi's body. Kivi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

We've been hearing reports that Kivi has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Gorden might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kivi haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kivi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gorden's waist but Gorden gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kivi off to one side.

A quick step to the side and Kivi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Atlas Kivi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kivi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gorden manages to get himself to full guard.
Gorden has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kivi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Atlas Kivi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
