Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jos Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Risley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jos Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hunter Risley!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz throws a lazy right hand but Risley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Risley misses with a series of wild punches.
Risley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Jos Cruz has been cut.
Risley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cruz misses with a looping right.
Risley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Cruz throws a poor cross that misses
and Risley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Risley slips under a jab from Cruz.
Cruz throws a lazy uppercut
and Risley counters with a three punch combo that has Cruz backing up. Cruz nods at Risley to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Risley moves away from the strike by Cruz.
Cruz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Risley getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Risley has taken the fight to the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Risley.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Risley lands a right hand.
Risley holding his opponent close, against the ropes.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Risley pushes Cruz back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Cruz is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Risley's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Cruz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cruz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Risley catches Cruz napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Cruz crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Risley raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hunter Risley!
