Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Salwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and M J Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shain is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thunderstruck. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Salwa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
39 - 29 - 2, fighting out of New York, M J Shain! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Shain. Shain lands with a nice body kick. Salwa throws a nice outside leg kick. We've been told by Salwa's head coaches at Datsik's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Shain misses with a body shot.
It looked like Salwa wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Salwa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shain. Shain throws a low kick but Salwa moves out of range easily. Shain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salwa moves away. Salwa slips under a jab from Shain. Salwa lands an overhand right.
It looks like M J Shain has been cut. Salwa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Shain fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Salwa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Salwa lands a leg kick that knocks Shain off balance momentarily. A low kick from Shain misses and Salwa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salwa scores with a hook. Shain wants to slow Salwa down by chopping away at his legs. A little feinted left hand from Salwa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Salwa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Shain on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shain swats away the attempt to clinch by Salwa. Shain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Donk. Salwa catches Shain right on the button with a cross.
Shain is rocked! Gabriel Salwa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shain keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Salwa takes a body punch but keeps moving. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Salwa checks a leg kick. Shain throws a head kick that misses and Salwa counters with a right hand to the body. Salwa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shain. Salwa is looking to score with low kicks. Salwa throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shain counters with a left to the body. Shain darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Salwa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shain is working for a kimura but Salwa is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Salwa keeps working. Salwa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Shain. Salwa is looking to control Shain's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salwa avoid being mounted? Salwa blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shain. Salwa actively working from the bottom here. Shain is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Salwa has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shain is keen to just control but Salwa is a slippery customer. Shain is pressing down on Salwa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Salwa is holding on for now. Shain prevents Salwa from improving his position. Shain is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Salwa defends it well. Salwa is looking to control Shain's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salwa avoid being mounted? Shain seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shain avoids the body shot from Salwa.
Shain only half commits to the counter leg kick. Salwa scores with a spinning back kick! Shain tries for a takedown but Salwa circles away easily enabling Salwa to counter with a crisp jab. Shain darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Shain throws a lazy body kick and Salwa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That has opened up M J Shain's cut even more. Shain ducks into an uppercut from Salwa and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
