Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sokudjo Olowontobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Mattos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olowontobi comes into the arena with Can't Be touched By Roy Jones JR blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sokudjo Olowontobi ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Walter Mattos! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mattos avoids the head kick by Olowontobi .
Mattos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Olowontobi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mattos. Olowontobi misses with a body shot.
Olowontobi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Olowontobi avoids a punch combination nicely.
As Mattos tries to get set, Olowontobi tries to push him back and clinch up but Mattos manages to avoid the attempt. Nice uppercut there from Mattos. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Olowontobi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mattos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mattos flicks out a counter leg kick but Olowontobi steps away. Olowontobi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mattos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olowontobi closes the distance but Mattos moves to the side and Mattos counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mattos fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Olowontobi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mattos fails miserably with a takedown attempt. It looked like Olowontobi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Mattos throws a head kick but Olowontobi moves out of range.
Mattos keeps Olowontobi at a distance using the push kick. Olowontobi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mattos counters with a stiff right hand. Mattos lands a head kick!
Good leg kick by Mattos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olowontobi closes the distance looking to clinch and Mattos counters with a nice body kick. Decent striking displayed by Mattos there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mattos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Olowontobi 's guard. Mattos slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mattos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mattos throws out a powerful jab. Mattos moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Mattos fails with a takedown attempt. Olowontobi takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Mattos smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Mattos has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Olowontobi closes the distance looking to clinch and Mattos counters with an outside leg kick.
Olowontobi is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mattos thuds his right hand into Olowontobi 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Olowontobi tries to clinch up but Mattos circles away and keeps his distance. Mattos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sokudjo Olowontobi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Mattos. Mattos jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Olowontobi fails with the takedown and Mattos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Olowontobi takes one on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Walter Mattos dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mattos. Mattos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mattos misses with a head kick.
Mattos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Olowontobi sprawls well initially but Mattos persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Olowontobi pushes Mattos off looking to stand but Mattos dives back in and keeps control.
Mattos is controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Mattos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mattos decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Olowontobi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mattos. Mattos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mattos content to control rather than advance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mattos is looking to advance position but Olowontobi won't allow it. Mattos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mattos controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Mattos.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mattos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Walter Mattos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Mattos shoots in and gets a takedown into Olowontobi 's guard. Mattos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mattos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mattos gets to his feet - Olowontobi follows without any prompting. Mattos with a nice cross. Mattos scores with a jab to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mattos lands with a hook. Olowontobi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Mattos lands with a right hand. Mattos listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Olowontobi 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mattos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Olowontobi scrambles back to his feet. The crowd cheers as Mattos lands an impressive looking overhand right. Olowontobi doesn't seem phased though. Mattos throws a nice outside leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A nice leg kick lands there from Mattos. Olowontobi moves out of range of the body kick from Mattos.
Olowontobi throws a leg kick that is checked and Mattos makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mattos shoots in looking for a takedown but Olowontobi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mattos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mattos shoots in looking for a takedown. Olowontobi tries to sprawl out of it but Mattos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Olowontobi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A quick step to the side and Olowontobi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Olowontobi is looking to clinch but Mattos is avoiding it.
It seemed like Mattos was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Mattos throws a head kick that half lands.
Olowontobi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Good leg kick by Mattos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Mattos lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mattos plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Mattos lands with a kick to the temple. Olowontobi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Olowontobi has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mattos. Mattos goes for a high kick. It partially lands. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mattos fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Olowontobi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mattos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Olowontobi to the ground. Mattos is now in Olowontobi 's guard. Mattos gets to his feet. Olowontobi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Mattos feints and then cracks Olowontobi 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Olowontobi down. Sokudjo Olowontobi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walter Mattos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mattos throws out a powerful jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Walter Mattos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mattos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
