Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rocky Balboa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Duffy! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboa gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Balboa digs a right hand into Duffy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Duffy's gas tank. Duffy looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Balboa lands a right hand that snaps the head of Duffy backwards. Balboa is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Duffy is defending well for now. Duffy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Duffy looking for a takedown. Duffy is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Balboa is keeping busy. Stalling in the clinch from Balboa.

Balboa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Balboa moves in looking to clinch but Duffy pushes him off. Balboa gets a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Balboa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Balboa moves into the clinch. A short uppercut from Balboa. Balboa with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Balboa just leaning against Duffy, taking a breather. Balboa tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Duffy avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Balboa trying to land knees to the body.
Duffy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Balboa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A jab lands there for Duffy. Balboa takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Duffy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Balboa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Balboa pushes Duffy up against the cage in a clinch. Balboa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Balboa wants to clinch. Nice defenses there by Duffy. Duffy tries to keep at a distance but Balboa has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa throws a head punch that misses. Balboa breaks from the clinch.
Duffy scores with a one two! Balboa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Duffy scores with a decent looking hook. Rocky Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Balboa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Balboa has Duffy up against the cage in a clinch.
Balboa looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Balboa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Duffy looks to score with a jab to the body but Balboa is just out of range. Balboa closes the distance and clinches. Duffy trying to land knees to the body.
Balboa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Balboa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Balboa looks to land a right hand but Duffy moved out of range. Balboa has closed the distance and engaged Duffy in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duffy blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Duffy misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short left from Balboa. Duffy throws a knee to the head but misses.

Duffy lands with a short head shot on the inside. Balboa manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheers as Duffy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Balboa doesn't seem phased though. Duffy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Balboa finds it's way round the side to connect with Duffy's head.
It looks like Jimmy Duffy has been cut. Duffy misses with a wild body shot. Balboa misses with a wild body shot. Duffy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Balboa. A slapping leg kick lands for Duffy.
Balboa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Duffy looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Duffy walks straight into a right hand from Balboa - that's dropped him! Balboa jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Duffy from any more punishment! Duffy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rocky Balboa!
