Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Trea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Henderson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerald Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Trea!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson scores with a three punch combo!
Trea takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Trea swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A swing and a miss from Trea.
Henderson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Trea.
Henderson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Henderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trea's waist but Trea gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henderson off to one side.

Henderson clinches.
Trea prevents a takedown attempt there.
Henderson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Trea keeps control of Henderson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Henderson pushes Trea back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Henderson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Henderson is trying to break free.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Henderson.
Henderson tries to stall but Trea uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Trea breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Henderson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gerald Henderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Henderson doesn't manage to clinch there - Trea circles away.
Henderson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Trea thows a left - swing and a miss!
Trea misses the shot to the body.
Henderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Henderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trea swivels and escapes.

Trea shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Trea was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Trea has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Henderson's face.

Henderson is bucking up trying to escape but Trea cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Trea has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Henderson's face.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Trea postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Henderson looks a forlorn figure.
Oh Henderson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Trea passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Henderson!
Henderson seems to have got his legs back now.

Trea lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Trea swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Henderson is now in Trea's guard. A big mistake from Trea there, giving up the dominant position!

Henderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Trea wants to sweep here but Henderson controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trea working for a triangle but Henderson defends it easily.
Trea manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Henderson manages to get himself to full guard.
Trea throws a big right hand that misses.

Trea must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Henderson holds on and takes a little breather.
Trea throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Henderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Henderson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Trea throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Henderson is controlling the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Henderson tries to pass to full mount but Trea defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gerald Henderson will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Trea throws a hook to the side of Henderson's head but Henderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Trea tries to close the distance and clinch but Henderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

so Trea counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Trea working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Henderson's head.
Henderson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Trea's guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Henderson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Henderson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Henderson is working Trea over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Trea has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Henderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Trea.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trea can do anything to dispel that myth.

Henderson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

I would just about give that final round to Steve Trea.
I think Trea has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
