Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rob Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Arnold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rob Mills! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, BJ Arnold! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arnold fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mills manages to avoid it. Mills was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Arnold pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Arnold feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mills's calf. Arnold connects with a jab. Mills shoots in looking for a takedown. Arnold tries to sprawl out of it but Mills keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arnold manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Arnold connects with a right hand. Mills shakes it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mills will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Arnold replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Mills blocks it well. Arnold lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Arnold's coach down at The GYM (20 elite coaches on the Island !!!) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Arnold's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Arnold throws a hook but Mills avoids it easily. Mills fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Mills. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mills moves out of range as Arnold strikes. Arnold misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mills.
Mills fires out a quick counter leg kick but Arnold just manages to avoid it. Arnold fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mills. Mills shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A shot to the liver by Arnold. Beautiful body shot. Arnold is looking to land body kicks. Mills fails with an attempt to clinch.
Arnold connects with the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mills fails with the takedown and Arnold counters with a nice body shot. Mills has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mills there as he acknowledges the shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Arnold scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mills is rocked! BJ Arnold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Arnold connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mills momentarily.
Oh Mills is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mills fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Arnold to the ground. Mills is now in Arnold's guard. Mills seems to have got his legs back now. Mills postures up.
Mills throws a big elbow that misses. Mills trying to control the position from guard on top but Arnold is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arnold is trying to control the position but Mills postures up. Mills wants to control from the top but Arnold keeps moving. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Arnold is trying to control the position but Mills postures up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mills dives in and scores a takedown into Arnold's guard. Arnold isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Mills stacks Arnold on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Mills! Mills working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mills working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Mills controls the position from side control. Arnold really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mills. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mills advances to full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BJ Arnold dominated that round. That's time! Mills's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Arnold has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mills wants to clinch. Mills shoots in but no luck this time. Mills takes a swing at Arnold's ribcage but misses. Arnold throws a shot from downtown. Mills moves away and avoids it. Mills takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arnold looks to land a left hand but Mills moved out of range nicely. Mills dives in for a single leg takedown but Arnold sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Arnold throws a half hearted mid kick. Mills gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Arnold counters with a good low kick that Mills was not able to check. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rob Mills. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arnold scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Arnold throws a body shot but no joy. Mills is trying hard to land a takedown here. Arnold sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Arnold lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
BJ Arnold seems to be getting the better of the standup. Arnold slaps away a takedown attempt from Mills, before circling back to the center of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Arnold connects with a looping right hand.

Mills shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arnold pinned against the cage. Arnold gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arnold changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Arnold misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mills gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Arnold counters with a leg kick. Arnold ducks down and throws a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Arnold throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mills stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Mills looks for a takedown but Arnold sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arnold thuds his shin into the meat of Mills's side. Mills takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A jab lands there for Arnold. Arnold scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A thudding body kick lands there by Arnold!
Arnold lands a nice hook to Mills's body. Mills takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Rob Mills seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice straight punches there by Arnold. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Arnold. A cross from Arnold lands. Arnold waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Mills. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Mills to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Arnold looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mills is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Arnold trying to control but Mills is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BJ Arnold showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Arnold ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Arnold connects with an inside leg kick. Arnold fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Mills wants to land a leg kick but Arnold is out of range. Mills wants to clinch up but Arnold keeps it at a distance. Arnold appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Mills lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Mills needs to keep his hands up - Arnold had a free shot at his head there. Rob Mills is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mills thows a leg kick but Arnold checks it and Arnold counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mills's knee momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jab by Arnold. Mills gets the takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Arnold is trying to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arnold trying his best to control but Mills has mounted him. Arnold can't escape the position.
Arnold tries to hold on but Mills pushes him away. A nice elbow there by Mills. Mills will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mills throwing strikes here but Arnold is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Arnold wants to control but Mills is having none of it. Mills is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Arnold has managed to escape the submission attempt.
BJ Arnold is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mills punching from mount but Arnold doing a good job of avoiding damage. Arnold tries to lock up and control but Mills gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Poor strikes thrown by Mills there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Arnold is looking to get to half guard. Arnold tries to improve his position but instead Mills has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mills has the hooks in. Arnold is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Mills.

Arnold looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Mills has good solid back control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mills is punishing Arnold with strikes - can he finish him?! Rob Mills overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mills trying to control momentarily.
Arnold manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mills's guard. Nice work there by Arnold.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Arnold sitting in guard here, content to control. Rob Mills has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mills keeping moving, preventing Arnold from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Rob Mills showed his dominance in that final round. I think Arnold has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

BJ Arnold wins by unanimous decision! A very excited looking BJ Arnold made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
