Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martin Lindner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prickly Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Lindner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Prickly Pete! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lindner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Pete shoots for a double leg takedown but Lindner sprawls well. He's pushed Pete's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pete wants to clinch up but Lindner keeps it at a distance. Pete avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pete shoots in but Lindner avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nice takedown defense from Lindner. No joy for Pete on that attempt. Martin Lindner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Prickly Pete. Pete avoids the head kick by Lindner.
Pete takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Lindner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pete tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lindner tries to advance to mount but Pete denies him. Lindner has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lindner looking to control and managing it successfully. Pete wants to hold on but Lindner pushes him away. Lindner blocks Pete's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Pete is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Pete looks gassed! Lindner content just to control the position here. Pete wants to control but Lindner is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pete is looking to get to half guard. Pete tries to hold on but Lindner postures up. Lindner tries to control but Pete wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lindner wants to take his opponent's back but Pete doesn't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pete regains half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pete trying to control here.
Lindner tries to stand and escape but Pete actually recovers to full guard. Pete is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lindner wants to pass the guard but Pete is keeping the position. Pete lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lindner! Pete takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pete looking to control but Lindner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Martin Lindner will probably get the nod. That's time! Lindner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pete is looking to clinch. Pete scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Lindner is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pete missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lindner wants to control but Pete is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lindner keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lindner wants to improve his position but Pete is controlling well.
Pete stands up and beckons Lindner to join him on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lindner pushes Pete up against the cage in a clinch. Pete breaks from the clinch.
Pete fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lindner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Martin Lindner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pete gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lindner goes for a takedown attempt but Pete pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Pete throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A lazy body kick from Pete and Lindner counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pete tries to roll over but Lindner keeps him under control. Pete is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pete looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lindner moves into full mount! Pete won't be happy about that! Lindner wants to control the pace but Pete is squirming around nicely. Pete regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lindner trying to mount his opponent but Pete defends it. Pete is trying to control but can't.
Pete manages to get to full guard.
Pete wants to sweep but no luck. Pete is controlling Lindner's posture. Pete working a defensive guard but Lindner passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pete wants to control but Lindner is keeping busy.
Pete is refusing to be controlled, as Lindner sits in half guard. Pete trying to control from the bottom.
Pete gets full guard. Lindner wants to control from the top but Pete keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lindner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Prickly Pete will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Lindner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Lindner shoots and misses and Pete counters with a takedown into side control. Lindner tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Pete punishing his opponent with strikes. Pete controlling the position easily from mount. Pete lands with some strikes. Pete postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lindner looks a forlorn figure.
Pete controlling his opponent. Pete raining down shots from the mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lindner is wriggling around trying to escape.
Prickly Pete has got the better of the ground game so far. Pete controlling his opponent. Lindner tries to hold on but Pete pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lindner is trying desperately to improve position. Pete scoring with strikes but Lindner is staying in there. Lindner is looking to improve his position but Pete isn't that keen on the idea. Pete is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lindner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Pete with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Pete postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lindner looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pete controlling from the full mount. Pete putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Lindner is trying to stand up. Lindner can't escape the position.
Pete connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pete pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Pete looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pete is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lindner has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lindner! Pete looking for a sweep. Not yet Pete, not yet. Pete is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Lindner slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Pete tries to control but Lindner manages to take his back. Lindner gets his hands free as Pete looks to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Prickly Pete comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pete has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
