Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tony Bullard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boss Howard! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Howard throws a sloppy body shot
and Bullard counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bullard works on Howard's body with a couple of short punches. Bullard makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Bullard gets through Howard's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Bullard has Howard pressed against the cage, preventing Howard from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Bullard lands a hook that snaps the head of Howard backwards. A left hand lands to the body for Bullard.
Bullard lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Howard backwards. Bullard lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A nice left hand lands by Bullard.
Howard is rocked! Bullard lands a hook to the side of the head. Howard is still on wobbly legs! Can Bullard finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bullard misses with the head strike.
Bullard lands a big right hand that drops Howard! The killer instinct kicks in and Bullard finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Bullard!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Bullard! After the fight, Tony Bullard was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Boss Howard was interviewed post fight and said 'well done to my opponent ....ima and Irish boy so don't think I'm down an out mate ..I'll be bak'.
