Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Smithers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fallon Richmount (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Richmount with that takedown attempt.
Richmount has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smithers finds it's way round the side to connect with Richmount's head.

Richmount fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Carlton Smithers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fallon Richmount.
Smithers misses with a wild combination.
Smithers throws a right and a left that Richmount avoids nicely.
Smithers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Richmount on the side of the head.
Smithers ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Richmount closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Richmount in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Smithers tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Richmount!
