Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Graf Orlak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Nogueira! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira fails with a takedown attempt. Nogueira uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Orlak. Orlak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nogueira misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Orlak pushes Nogueira up against the cage in a clinch. Nogueira tries to score a body lock takedown but Orlak shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Graf Orlak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Nogueira. Orlak wants to break the clinch but can't.
Orlak is looking to break free of the clinch but Nogueira has double underhooks. Orlak is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Nogueira tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Orlak just stands there and leans against the cage. Nogueira fails to pull guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nogueira is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nogueira trying to control but Orlak postures up.
Orlak seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Nogueira is trying to maintain the position but Orlak is very close to passing his half guard. Nogueira controlling the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Orlak thows a left - swing and a miss! Danga de danga de dang - Orlak scores with a four punch combination! Orlak gets in close and instigates a clinch. Nogueira fails to pull guard.
Nogueira keeps control of Orlak as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Orlak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Nogueira tries to clinch but Orlak moves out of range. Orlak lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Orlak takes the fight into the clinch. Nogueira has hold of one of Orlak's legs. Orlak is fighting the takedown attempt but Nogueira gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Nogueira is working Orlak over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Nogueira looks gassed! Orlak is looking to stand up but Nogueira isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nogueira passes into half guard. Nogueira seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Orlak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nogueira is working for a kimura but Orlak is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Orlak tries to keep at a distance but Nogueira has taken the fight into the clinch. Nogueira ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nogueira no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Nogueira bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Orlak's guard. Orlak can't keep his opponent in guard - Nogueira advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Nogueira working the head and body with strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nogueira is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Orlak defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Graf Orlak dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Left hook, right uppercut from Orlak. Orlak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nogueira moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nogueira shoots in for a takedown but Orlak shows good takedown defense. Nogueira shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Nogueira passes into half guard. Nogueira decides to stand and escape the position. Nogueira takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nogueira darts in and clinches Orlak up against the cage. Nogueira tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Orlak wants to get back to striking at distance but Nogueira won't allow it.
Nogueira changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Orlak fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Graf Orlak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Nogueira.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orlak throws a nice looking combination but Nogueira bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nogueira looks for a takedown but Orlak sprawls well. A telegraphed right hand from Orlak misses the target. Excellent takedown into side control there by Nogueira. Nogueira throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Nogueira is looking to take a break and control but Orlak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nogueira is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogueira tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Orlak on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Nogueira trying to control the action but Orlak is working from the bottom. Nogueira looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Nogueira wants to control but Orlak is keeping him busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nogueira prevents Orlak from escaping the position. Orlak defending against the ground and pound. Orlak gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Nogueira can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Orlak is looking to escape. Nogueira looking for a guillotine from mount but Orlak is having none of it. Nogueira with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Nogueira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Orlak misses with an uppercut. Nogueira saw that one coming. Nogueira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Orlak tries to avoid it but Nogueira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Orlak to the ground. Orlak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nogueira misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Orlak looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Orlak throws a lazy right hand but Nogueira sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Nogueira dodges the punch combination from Orlak.
Orlak tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nogueira counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nogueira in particular looking to stall. Nogueira is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Diego Nogueira has got the better of the ground game so far. Nogueira trying to control but he's not successful this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orlak tries to hold on but Nogueira postures up. Nogueira with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Orlak is squirming around, avoiding Nogueira's attempts to control the action. Nogueira avoids the attempt from Orlak to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nogueira working the ground and pound effectively.
Nogueira cracks Orlak with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Nogueira prevents Orlak from getting the reversal. The referee warns Orlak that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Orlak is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Nogueira has taken his back.
Orlak trying to control the action but Nogueira just sinks the hooks in.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nogueira has got one arm under Orlak's chin. This could be trouble... Orlak trying to control the other hand but Nogueira gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Orlak has tapped out! The fight is over!
