Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Shota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Crusher might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Around The Fur by Deftones. Shota has chosen Sounds from the Motherland as his entrance music. Jeremy Crusher had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Crusher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adrian Shota! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shota thows a left - swing and a miss! No luck with that takedown attempt from Crusher. Shota follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Crusher works Shota's body with a nice hook. Crusher shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shota napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shota pushes Crusher away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Crusher gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Crusher misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Shota tries to escape but Crusher is in control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crusher taking a breather here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Check out the look on Crusher's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Crusher is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shota has escaped the position, nice work there. Shota is trying to buck Crusher off. Shota is not content to let Crusher control the position. Shota is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Crusher is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shota seems a little lost for a moment, as Crusher dominates the positioning. Crusher is looking to take a break and control but Shota is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shota is trying to buck Crusher off.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Shota throws a hook to the side of Crusher's head but Crusher sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Crusher stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Adrian Shota is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shota throws a left and a right that both miss
and Crusher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shota won't be happy with that. Shota pushes Crusher away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Crusher gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Shota dodges the ground and pound from Crusher.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crusher cracks Shota with a big right hand but Shota just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Shota prevents Crusher from improving position. Shota dodges the ground and pound from Crusher. Crusher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crusher wants to control but Shota is keeping him busy. Crusher working the ground and pound. Crusher grinds an elbow into Shota's temple. Shota wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Crusher looking to control but instead Shota has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Shota is trying to stand up here but Crusher is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crusher takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Shota manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Crusher keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Crusher is struggling to control the position. Shota landing knees to the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shota fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Shota comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Crusher trying to control the position but instead, Shota has worked for underhooks and has pushed Crusher into the cage. Shota looking to throw knees to the head but Crusher is blocking nicely.
Shota lands a left hand that snaps the head of Crusher backwards. Shota prevents Crusher from breaking the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremy Crusher dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Crusher jabs Shota right on the nose. Shota blinks but takes it well. Shota jabs Crusher to the body, keeping him at a distance. Crusher goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Crusher misses with a takedown and Shota counters with a straight right hand. Shota takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Shota steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Crusher. Shota takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Crusher lands with a shot to the body. Shota works Crusher's body with a nice hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crusher uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shota. The crowd cheers as Crusher lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shota doesn't seem phased though. Crusher blocks a low kick nicely. A telegraphed right hand from Crusher misses the target. Crusher with a poor takedown and Shota counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shota scores with a shoulder strike. Crusher is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shota can do to turn this around? Shota lands an elbow inside. A shot in the inside from Shota. A bit of stalling here from Crusher.

Shota gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Shota with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Crusher jumps guard but Shota turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Crusher. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shota pushes off an throws an elbow but Crusher leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Shota lands an elbow inside. Shota throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Crusher is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Shota lands a hook to the side of the head. Shota tries a body shot but Crusher blocks it.

Shota looks to throw an elbow but misses. Crusher wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shota has him pressed against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Shota.

I was talking to Crusher's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shota creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Crusher fails to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shota lands an elbow that stopped Crusher in his tracks for a moment. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Shota tries to land a knee to the head but Crusher blocks with his arms.
Shota makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. With the fighters up against the cage, Shota throws an elbow but misses. Shota throws an elbow but it misses.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Crusher misses with a hook from the clinch. Shota misses with an elbow over the top. Shota lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A left hand lands to the body for Shota.
Shota creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Shota putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Crusher in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Crusher wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shota has him pressed against the cage. Crusher takes an elbow to the forehead.

Shota creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Crusher's defenses. Crusher is trying to force a seperation but Shota has the dominant position. Shota gets through Crusher's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Shota works on Crusher's body with a couple of short punches. Shota is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Shota scores with an uppercut up the middle. The referee calls for Shota to work.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shota is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crusher. Crusher misses with an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adrian Shota showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Crusher. Crusher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shota wants to stand up but Crusher is controlling him. Crusher wants to pass the guard but Shota is keeping the position. Shota is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crusher is controlling him. Crusher trying to control but Shota is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shota kicks Crusher off and gets to his feet. Shota throws a series of punches but Crusher avoids them all with ease. Crusher moves away from the strike by Shota. Crusher tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shota defends well and Crusher ends up having to push Shota into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Crusher shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Crusher. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shota keeps Crusher at a distance using the push kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shota scores with a head kick. Crusher tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Crusher circles away from the clinch attempt.
Crusher walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shota scores with a jab to the body. Shota throws a right hand that Crusher ducks under and follows up with a left that Crusher also avoids with ease. Shota scores with the left hand. Crusher knows he should have avoided that one. Shota doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Shota is looking to slow Crusher down with leg kicks. Crusher closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Shota did well to prevent Crusher getting side control. Shota is looking to escape. Shota makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Crusher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. No luck with that takedown attempt from Crusher.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Adrian Shota. I think Shota has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
