Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Kroblur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Amari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Kroblur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Vincenzo Amari! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kroblur misses with a body shot.
Amari blocks a low kick nicely. Kroblur takes a swing at Amari's ribcage but misses. Amari checks a leg kick. Amari tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kroblur gets off balance looking for a body kick and Amari counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kroblur seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Kroblur looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kroblur looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Amari has picked Kroblur up and slammed him! Kroblur can't keep hold of the triangle and Amari manages to pass to side control! Kroblur manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kroblur wants to take a breather but Amari is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kroblur throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Amari to regain full guard. Kroblur is working Amari over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kroblur wants to pass the guard but Amari is keeping the position. Kroblur throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Amari works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Amari working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kroblur. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kroblur throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kroblur slips nicely into half guard. Amari is refusing to be controlled, as Kroblur sits in half guard. Kroblur is looking for a kimura but Amari is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kroblur to get the leverage. Kroblur has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Kroblur is predictable there so Amari counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kroblur wants to sweep but no luck. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kroblur is on top in guard.

Kroblur is looking to advance position but Amari won't allow it. Kroblur is keen to just control but Amari is a slippery customer. Kroblur is figuring out what he wants to do next. Amari keeping moving, preventing Kroblur from controlling successfully. Kroblur distracts Amari with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kroblur loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kroblur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amari swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kroblur dives in and grabs Amari's left leg, looking for a takedown. Amari pushes down on Kroblur's head and hops out. Amari is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Kroblur finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Matt Kroblur dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kroblur throws a lazy right hand but Amari sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kroblur misses with a body kick. Kroblur throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Amari on the side of the head. Kroblur throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Amari decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kroblur's guard. Amari stopping the sweep attempt from Kroblur. Kroblur looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Amari puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Kroblur slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kroblur is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kroblur wants to sweep but no luck. Amari has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kroblur is proving hard to escape from. Amari got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kroblur has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Amari has managed to get both his arms back between Kroblur's legs - danger averted. Kroblur has a closed guard, preventing Amari from standing up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kroblur throws a hook but Amari avoids it easily. Amari gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kroblur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amari swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kroblur is looking to work some ground and pound but Amari has wrist control. Kroblur slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Amari keeping moving, preventing Kroblur from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kroblur tries to free his leg and advance position but Amari is retaining full guard. Kroblur throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kroblur advances to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kroblur throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kroblur lands strikes from half guard.
