Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Serget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Vance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serget comes to the cage accompanied by Friends in lower places. Vance has chosen Bad as his entrance music. Brad Vance has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Serget! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brad Vance! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serget ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Serget circles away from the clinch attempt.
Serget seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Vance throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Serget half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Vance just misses with a punch to the body.
Vance looks to land a left hand but Serget moved out of range nicely. Serget drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vance sprawls and moves away. Vance swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Vance tries to get set, Serget tries to push him back and clinch up but Vance manages to avoid the attempt. Vance throws a sloppy body shot
and Serget counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Serget controlling the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Serget has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Vance avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Serget.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serget controlling the action here. Vance pushes Serget off looking to stand but Serget dives back in and keeps control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vance can do anything to dispel that myth. Vance trying to control but Serget postures up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Serget wants to pass the guard but Vance is defending well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Serget blocks a jab. Vance scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Bob Serget has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vance throws a sloppy body shot
and Serget counters with a three punch combo that has Vance backing up. Vance nods at Serget to acknowledge the strikes. Brad Vance is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vance throws an off balance right hand
and Serget counters with a takedown into side control. Vance is trying to control Serget's posture but Serget avoids it. Serget connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Vance some visible discomfort.
Serget lands an elbow. Serget is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Vance's shoulder. That is not cool. Serget's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Further stalling from Serget. Serget lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Vance seems a little lost for a moment, as Serget dominates the positioning. Serget in side control, throwing shots but Vance defends. Serget tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Vance prevents Serget from improving position. Vance is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Serget's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Vance really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Serget. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Serget seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vance lands a nice hook to Serget's body. Serget takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Serget dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bob Serget's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Vance walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Serget checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Serget went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Vance moves into the clinch successfully.
Vance throws a punch but it's blocked by Serget. Vance misses with a hook from the clinch. Vance swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Vance misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Serget is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Vance is keeping busy. Serget drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vance gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Vance misses with some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A frustrated look appears on Vance's face as he tries to break the clinch. Vance tries a body shot but Serget blocks it.
Serget blocks an uppercut.
Serget has clasped his hands together around Vance's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Serget tries to advance to mount but Vance denies him.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Serget stalls from top position. Vance is looking for a sweep. Serget working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Vance trying to remain calm as Serget controls from the top position. Serget has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Vance throws a leg kick but Serget sees it coming and moves out of range. A big right from Vance misses. Serget uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vance.
Serget throws a big counter combination but Vance scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Vance waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Serget. Serget attempts a counter takedown but Vance avoids it well and moves away. Serget checks a leg kick nicely. Serget half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Bob Serget is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vance misses with a looping right. Vance throws a hook but Serget blocks it. Serget drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vance sprawls and moves away. Vance tries to clinch and Serget counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serget is stalling in the full guard. Serget trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Serget is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Serget sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vance's guard. Serget prevents Vance from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Vance trying to hold on to Serget's head to control him but Serget postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Serget takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Vance swings for the body but Serget moves out of range.
Vance motions for Serget to come forward. Vance throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Serget half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. and Serget counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Serget is taking a breather. Vance says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vance blocking the ground and pound attempt from Serget. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vance swings widly with a right hand
and Serget counters with a series of strikes. Vance will be more careful next time no doubt. Serget moves away from the strike by Vance. Vance fails with an attempt to clinch.
Serget moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Vance throws a jab but it's blocked by Serget. Serget drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vance sprawls and moves away. Brad Vance seems to be getting the better of the standup. Vance looks to land a right hand but Serget moved out of range. Serget tries to counter with a takedown but Vance is quick to defend against it. Vance keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Vance misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Serget.
Serget drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vance sprawls and moves away. Vance slaps away a takedown attempt from Serget, before circling back to the center of the mat. A swing and a miss from Vance. Vance fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Serget looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Serget is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vance can do to turn this around? Vance misses the shot to the body.

Vance displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Serget. Vance swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Serget. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vance throws out a loose jab but Serget uses good head movement to avoid it. Vance just misses with a punch to the body.
Vance tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Serget was well out of range. Poor timing from Vance. Nice uppercut lands for Vance. That snapped Serget's head back.
Vance throws a hook to the side of Serget's head but Serget sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Vance misses the shot to the body. Vance pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Brad Vance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vance throws the left hand but Serget avoids the punch easily. Serget seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Vance tries to clinch up. Serget slips a jab from Vance. Serget uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vance. Serget is looking to counter the offense by Vance and move into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serget shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Serget throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Vance wants to improve his position but Serget is controlling well.

Serget missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bob Serget overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. That's going to sap some energy. Serget walks into a stiff left hand from Vance. The fight moves into the clinch position.

Vance ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Serget moves away. Vance throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vance lands a body shot.
Vance swings for the body but Serget moves out of range.
Bob Serget is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Vance gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Brad Vance. I think Serget has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Bob Serget! After the fight, Bob Serget was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
