Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mordecai Wollsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mordecai Wollsey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Barton! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barton tries to clinch up and Wollsey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wollsey connects with a body shot that sends Barton's belly button to the back. Wollsey throws a half hearted mid kick. Barton wants to counter with a clinch but Wollsey pushes him away. Barton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Wollsey connects with a good right hand that stumbles Barton. Barton circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Wollsey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barton. Wollsey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Barton manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wollsey is refusing to be controlled, as Barton sits in half guard. Wollsey gets full guard. Barton throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wollsey wants to improve his position but instead Barton has moved into half guard.

Wollsey is holding on to half guard well. Barton is keen to just control but Wollsey is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wollsey works his way to full guard. Good work. Wollsey managing to control the position. Wollsey continues to stall. Wollsey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barton is one step ahead there.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wollsey lands with a hook. Barton tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. The crowd cheers as Wollsey lands an impressive looking overhand right. Barton doesn't seem phased though. Wollsey misses the shot to the body. Barton closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Barton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wollsey to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wollsey engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Wollsey throwing strikes but missing.

Wollsey distracts Barton with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Wollsey postures up in Barton's guard and throws a big left but Barton blocks it. Wollsey lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wollsey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wollsey is in close to Barton's body, working some short punches and elbows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wollsey works over Barton with some ground and pound from guard. Wollsey lands a couple of elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mordecai Wollsey dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Barton walks into a jab. Barton takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wollsey lands a front kick. Wollsey moves into range and connects with a jab. A slapping leg kick lands for Wollsey.
Wollsey dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Barton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barton there as he acknowledges the shot. Wollsey scores with a nice right hand.
Mordecai Wollsey is winning the standup battle so far. Wollsey keeps the fight on the outside. Barton with a poor takedown enabling Wollsey to counter with a crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wollsey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wollsey wants it to stay on the feet. Wollsey scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wollsey wants to control but Barton is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wollsey advances to mount. Wollsey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wollsey landing strikes from the mount.
Barton is rocked! Wollsey working the ground and pound effectively.
Barton is still in real trouble! Can Wollsey finish him? Wollsey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Barton can do to turn this around? Wollsey lands a big shot to the head and Barton winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
