Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodolfo Gusman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Poulter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Rodolfo Gusman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 18 - 1, fighting out of London, Paul Poulter! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gusman throws a front kick aimed at Poulter's knee but Poulter avoids it well. Gusman misses with an uppercut. Poulter saw that one coming. Gusman attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Poulter appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Gusman looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Gusman attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Poulter tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gusman is able to avoid easily. Poulter scores with a hook. Gusman avoids the head kick by Poulter.
Gusman is looking to land body kicks. Poulter lands a lovely overhand right. Gusman takes a kick to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poulter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gusman. Danga de danga de dang - Poulter scores with a four punch combination! Poulter throws a good cross that connects.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Poulter avoids the head kick by Gusman.
Gusman takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poulter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Poulter, right into the meat.
Poulter lands a head kick. Gusman smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Horrible takedown attempt by Gusman or perhaps it was just good defense by Poulter, which made it look bad. Poulter dodges the punch combination from Gusman.
Poulter appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Poulter lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Poulter doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gusman tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Poulter is able to avoid easily. That kick from Gusman tenderised Poulter's leg. Poulter is trying to keep his angry face on. Poulter looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Gusman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Poulter unleashes a big counter combination but Gusman bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Poulter throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A leg kick checked by Gusman. Gusman appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Gusman looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Gusman goes for a double leg but Poulter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Poulter continues to drive forward. Paul Poulter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gusman throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Poulter fails to land with a series of punches.
Poulter looks to throw a body kick and Gusman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Gusman throws a big shot that misses. Gusman throws a right hand that Poulter ducks under and follows up with a left that Poulter also avoids with ease. A jab from Gusman misses. Poulter scores with a jab. Gusman acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Poulter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gusman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gusman has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Poulter. Poulter feints and then cracks Gusman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gusman down. Gusman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gusman looks to land a right hand but Poulter moved out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gusman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Poulter throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gusman. Gusman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Gusman tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Poulter blocks the body kick.
Gusman takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Gusman throws a combination that misses and Poulter counters with a stiff right hand. Poulter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gusman. Poulter throws a right and a left that Gusman avoids nicely. Poulter connects with a solid leg kick. A decent looking cross lands there for Poulter. Poulter misses with a body shot.
Gusman looks to land a left hand but Poulter moved out of range nicely. Gusman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gusman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. It looked like Gusman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Gusman wants to clinch but Poulter slips to the side and Poulter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Gusman throws a right hand that misses
and Gusman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gusman misses with a hook. Poulter ducked under it nicely. Gusman sets himself, and Poulter steps forward looking for the clinch! Gusman avoids it this time. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Poulter. Gusman shrugs it off though. A nice inside leg kick there by Poulter. That's going to slow Gusman down. Gusman throws a hook but Poulter avoids it easily. Poulter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Poulter is looking to score with low kicks. Gusman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Poulter throws out the jab. Poulter moves out of range of the body kick from Gusman.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters circling - Gusman throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Poulter throws a nice head kick!
Decent striking displayed by Gusman there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Poulter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Poulter throws the kick towards the body but Gusman avoids it. Gusman is looking to counter punch. Poulter throws a leg kick which misses Gusman's front leg but catches the back leg as Gusman tries to avoid it. Poulter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gusman is looking to clinch. Gusman tries to close the distance and clinch but Poulter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gusman steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Poulter. That one must have hurt. Poulter on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gusman. Gusman obviously looking to wear him down.
Poulter throws out a leg kick but Gusman moves out of range and Poulter only half commits. Poulter lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Gusman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Some wild striking there from Poulter.
Gusman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Poulter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gusman is in Poulter's guard. Poulter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poulter keeping moving, preventing Gusman from controlling successfully. Gusman is working Poulter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gusman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gusman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Poulter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Poulter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gusman wants to control from the top but Poulter keeps moving. Poulter wants to sweep here but Gusman controlling him for the moment. Gusman cracks Poulter with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gusman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Poulter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Gusman passes into half guard.
Gusman content to control rather than advance. Poulter wants to improve his position but Gusman is controlling well.

Gusman won't allow Poulter to sweep him here. Poulter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gusman defends it easily. Gusman trying to control the position from guard on top but Poulter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gusman throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Poulter tries a low kick but Gusman avoids it. Poulter connects with a solid leg kick. Poulter chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gusman tests Poulter's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gusman misses with a kick to the body.
Poulter follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Poulter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gusman. Paul Poulter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Poulter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gusman. Poulter tries a quick counter leg kick but Gusman is wise to it. Poulter has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Poulter throws a front kick aimed at Gusman's knee but Gusman avoids it well. Poulter throws a solid leg kick but Gusman takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Poulter. Gusman looks to throw the jab but Poulter is out of range. Poulter looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Poulter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gusman is defended easily by Poulter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Poulter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Poulter's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Gusman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Poulter was well out of range. Poor timing from Gusman. Gusman throws a half hearted mid kick. Paul Poulter seems to be getting the better of the standup. Gusman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Gusman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gusman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rodolfo Gusman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gusman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Gusman wants to work for an arm triangle but Poulter is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gusman is trying to control the action in half guard but Poulter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rodolfo Gusman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gusman missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gusman throwing shots but Poulter is blocking nicely. Poulter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Poulter regains full guard. Nicely done. Gusman is looking to work some ground and pound but Poulter has wrist control. Gusman wants to control from the top but Poulter keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Poulter throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gusman has his takedown stuffed and Poulter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Poulter lands a lovely overhand right. Poulter leaves Gusman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodolfo Gusman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Poulter throws out a leg kick but Gusman moves out of range and Poulter only half commits. Poulter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Poulter tries to sprawl but Gusman drives through with a takedown into half guard. Poulter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Poulter is controlling Gusman's trapped leg to prevent Gusman from advancing to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gusman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Poulter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gusman lands a nice short elbow. Poulter trying to control but Gusman postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poulter tries to get to full guard but Gusman has control of the leg. Poulter on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Gusman throwing shots but Poulter is blocking nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Poulter is not content to let Gusman control the position. The fighters are battling for position here. Poulter manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Paul Poulter. I've got Poulter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
