PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blackie Kilmister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with They Will Kill Us All - The Bronx blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Blackie Kilmister!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilmister misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brown shoots in but Kilmister avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kilmister misses with a body kick.
Kilmister throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brown.
Kilmister lands a two punch combo.
Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kilmister's waist but Kilmister gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kilmister throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.
Kilmister tries to clinch but Brown moves out of range.
Brown shoots in but Kilmister avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Brown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kilmister can pounce on him.

Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kilmister on the ground.

Kilmister is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.

Kilmister manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.
Kilmister wanted to stand there but Brown had control of the position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kilmister bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brown's guard.
Kilmister stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

No joy there for Kilmister, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kilmister decides to stand back up. Kilmister steps back and let's Brown get back to his feet.

Matthew Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Blackie Kilmister comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kilmister has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
