Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobarre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobarre comes into the arena with Xzibit- Alcoholic blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pablo Escobarre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Summers!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobarre throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Summers throws a wild body kick that Escobarre sees coming a mile off.
Escobarre throws a lazy uppercut
and Summers counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Escobarre throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Summers slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Summers fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Escobarre takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Escobarre on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Escobarre throws a jab when Summers was well out of range.
Escobarre fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Summers throws a nice outside leg kick.
Summers connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Summers blocks a jab.
Summers punishes Escobarre's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Escobarre throws a hook but Summers avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Escobarre scores with a jab. Summers acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Summers fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Escobarre throws the left hand but Summers avoids the punch easily.
Summers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Summers swings for the body but Escobarre moves out of range.
Escobarre with a hook.
A decent looking cross lands there for Summers.
Summers motions for Escobarre to come forward. Summers throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Summers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Summers is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Summers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Escobarre stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Escobarre fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Summers, pushing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head punch on the inside from Summers fails to land.
Summers misses with a body punch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Escobarre.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Escobarre.
I was talking to Escobarre's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Escobarre blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Summers working aggressively here.
Escobarre lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Escobarre jumps into guard, dragging Summers to the mat.

Escobarre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Summers defends it easily.
Summers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Escobarre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Escobarre keeping moving, preventing Summers from controlling successfully.

Escobarre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Summers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Escobarre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Summers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Summers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Escobarre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Summers has managed to get both his arms back between Escobarre's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Escobarre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Summers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Summers trying to control but Escobarre is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Summers preventing the sweep.
Summers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Summers trying to control but Escobarre is working from the bottom.

Escobarre has his foot on Summers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Summers works his way back into a safe position though.
Escobarre pulls Summers in close to prevent any damage.
Summers trying to control the position from guard on top but Escobarre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Escobarre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Summers defends it easily.
Escobarre wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pablo Escobarre will probably get the nod.
That's time! Escobarre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Summers lands a nice looking body shot.
Escobarre throws a nice looking combination but Summers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A solid leg kick lands there for Summers.
Escobarre just misses with a punch to the body.

Escobarre closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Summers did well to prevent Escobarre getting side control.
Summers tries to get to full guard but Escobarre has control of the leg.
Escobarre is stalling here. Summers is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Escobarre seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Summers has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Escobarre is looking for a sweep.
Escobarre regains half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Escobarre gets full guard.
Summers not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Escobarre looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Summers is defending well. Escobarre quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Summers has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Escobarre celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pablo Escobarre!
A very excited looking Pablo Escobarre made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
