Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Egon Ekkehard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Egon Ekkehard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Helio Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekkehard darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage.
Gracie jumps into guard, dragging Ekkehard to the mat.
Ekkehard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.
Ekkehard makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ekkehard stands up over Gracie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Egon Ekkehard will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Ekkehard's temple.
Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ekkehard's head.
Ekkehard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ekkehard has hold of Gracie's hands but Gracie slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Ekkehard is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gracie is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

I would just about give that final round to Helio Gracie.
Well Ekkehard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
