Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Caol Uno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Lehner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robin Lehner acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Caol Uno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robin Lehner!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uno displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lehner throws out the jab.

Uno drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Uno sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lehner is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Lehner is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lehner takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Uno throwing strikes but Lehner manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Uno is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lehner's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Lehner is fighting to break Uno's control of his arms but Uno is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Lehner wants to pass the guard but Uno is keeping the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Uno manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lehner manages to get himself to full guard.

Uno wants to control from the top but Lehner keeps moving.
Lehner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Uno trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Lehner manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Uno controls Lehner momentarily but Lehner frees himself.
We've been informed that Lehner has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Lehner controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Lehner is fighting to break Uno's control of his arms but Uno is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lehner fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lehner looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Uno stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Robin Lehner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uno misses with a body shot

Lehner connects with a high kick.
Lehner will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The crowd cheers as Lehner lands an impressive looking overhand right. Uno doesn't seem phased though.
Lehner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uno moves away.
Uno misses with a looping left.
Uno keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Uno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lehner.

Uno takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lehner throws a right and a left that Uno avoids nicely.
Uno appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Lehner throws a combination that misses
and Uno counters with a straight right hand.
Lehner throws a head kick that misses.
Lehner fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Uno.
Uno looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lehner misses with a straight right.
Uno blocks a head kick by Lehner.
Uno throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Uno counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Uno throws an ugly left hook that misses

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Uno looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lehner is fending him off so far but Uno persists. Nope, Lehner circles away and we're back to standing.

Uno appears to be looking for a big counter.
Uno misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lehner.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lehner! But no joy.

Uno swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

and Uno counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Uno tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

The fighters circling - Uno throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And Lehner tries to counter it with a takedown but Uno pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lehner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Uno's calf.
Uno lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Uno throws a lazy right hand but Lehner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Uno checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Lehner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Horrible takedown attempt by Uno or perhaps it was just good defense by Lehner, which made it look bad.

Uno closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lehner's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lehner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Uno stands up over Lehner, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Uno loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

A close second round but Robin Lehner will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Uno drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lehner sprawls and moves away.

Uno was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lehner throws out a leg kick but Uno moves out of range and Lehner only half commits.
A decent looking cross lands there for Uno.
Lehner throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Uno on the side of the head.
Lehner gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lehner goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lehner lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Uno has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Uno and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lehner tries a head kick but it misses.
Uno fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lehner throws a solid leg kick but Uno takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lehner.
Uno swings for the body but Lehner moves out of range.

Uno takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Uno is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Uno thuds a left hand into Lehner's body.
Lehner throws a chopping leg kick but Uno manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Uno scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lehner in his tracks.
Lehner throws a body shot but no joy.
A quick step to the side and Uno tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Uno sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Uno throws a lazy right hand but Lehner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Good work by Uno as he checks the leg kick.
Uno throws a body punch but Lehner moves out of range.
Lehner lands a nice leg kick that just misses Uno's sensitive parts.
Uno lands with a hook. Lehner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.


Lehner is rocked!


It looks like Robin Lehner has been cut.
Uno throws a right and a left that Lehner avoids nicely.
Uno backing away here, and Lehner unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Lehner is still on wobbly legs! Can Uno finish him?
Uno shoots in for a takedown but Lehner shows good takedown defense.

and Uno scores with a counter punch that sends Lehner to the canvas! Uno smells blood - he's punishing Lehner with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Lehner has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Caol Uno!
In his post fight interview, Caol Uno started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
