Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ratt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Booger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hughes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Country boy can survive. Booger comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ang Kulangot kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ratt Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Booger! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Hughes or perhaps it was just good defense by Booger, which made it look bad. Booger drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hughes defends it well. Hughes scores with a nice right hand.
Booger works over Hughes's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Ratt Hughes has been cut. Booger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hughes as he jumps to the side. Booger staying out of range there. Booger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hughes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Hughes pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hughes throws a right and a left that Booger avoids nicely. Hughes throws a hook but Booger avoids it easily. Booger looks for a takedown but Hughes sprawls well. Hughes on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hughes throws a nice outside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Booger ducks under a wild hook from Hughes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Booger misses with a few strikes there.
Hughes thows a left - swing and a miss! Hughes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Booger. Booger's corner calls for a 1-2. Booger obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Booger walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A swing and a miss from Hughes. Hughes swats away the attempt to clinch by Booger. Hughes takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hughes moves out of range of the strikes. Booger takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Booger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hughes as he jumps to the side. Ratt Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Booger. Booger throws a body shot but no joy. A looping hook to the body misses from Hughes. Booger does a little dance to reset his feet. Booger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Booger shoots in looking for a takedown. Hughes tries to sprawl out of it but Booger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hughes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hughes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Booger. Hughes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hughes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Booger has time to react. Hughes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Booger.
Booger gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Booger moves out of range as Hughes strikes. Hughes swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Booger. Booger throws the left hand but Hughes avoids the punch easily. Hughes scores with a jab. Booger uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hughes. Hughes gets caught flat footed, as Booger shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Booger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hughes looking for a sweep. Not yet Hughes, not yet. Booger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hughes working for a triangle but Booger defends it easily.
Booger is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Booger is looking to work some ground and pound but Hughes has wrist control. Booger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hughes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Booger manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Booger wants to sweep but no luck. Booger trying to keep a closed guard but Hughes is proving a slippery customer.
Hughes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hughes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Booger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hughes wants to control from the top but Booger keeps moving. Hughes throws a big elbow that misses. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Booger has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ratt Hughes dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ratt Hughes's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Booger shoots in looking for a takedown but Hughes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Booger's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hughes throws a low kick but it's checked well by Booger. Booger moves away from the strike by Hughes. Booger ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Chris Booger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hughes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes throws a hook but Booger blocks it. Booger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hughes is fending him off so far but Booger persists. Nope, Hughes circles away and we're back to standing. Booger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Booger not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Booger is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hughes has momentary wrist control but Booger slips an elbow through the middle. Booger throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hughes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Booger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hughes looking to control.
Hughes wants to sweep but no luck. Booger postures up in Hughes's guard and throws a big left but Hughes blocks it. Booger distracts Hughes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Booger is working Hughes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Booger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Booger throws a big right hand that misses. Hughes keeping moving, preventing Booger from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hughes trying to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A telegraphed right hand from Hughes misses the target. Hughes works the jab nicely. Hughes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Hughes loads up on a big right hand but Booger slips the punch. And Booger tries to counter it with a takedown but Hughes pushes his down on his head and steps out. Booger scores with a decent looking hook. A slow jab from Hughes misses its intended target. Booger tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A looping hook to the body misses from Hughes. Booger does a little dance to reset his feet. Hughes fails to land with a series of punches.
Booger is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Booger scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Booger lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Hughes sprawling to the canvas. Booger follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Hughes hang on?
Hughes is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Booger creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Hughes is out cold and this one is all over! Booger climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chris Booger! A relieved looking Chris Booger thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
