Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Hands! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Bob! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hands counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hands lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hands has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hands stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bob swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bob should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hands looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hands is pushing down on Bob's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bob is fighting to maintain full guard but Hands has managed to sneak the leg through. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hands connects with a nice short shot to Bob's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hands trying to mount his opponent but Bob defends it. Bob is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hands scores with a couple of nice shots. Hands wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hands has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hands controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hands connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Bob is looking to get to half guard. Hands connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Bob is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hands takes Bob's back. Bob is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hands punches Bob on the ear. Hands has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Hands biding his time, looking for the opening.
Hands is punishing Bob with some ground and pound. Hands knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bob on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob won't enjoy being in this position. Hands looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Bob is tapping - it's over boys! Hands picks up the submission victory!
