The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekkehard tries for a takedown but Aroni circles away easily
and Aroni counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ekkehard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aroni avoids it really well and circles away.
Ekkehard gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Aroni counters with a crisp one two that drops Ekkehard! Aroni thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ekkehard to his feet! Ekkehard is in big trouble!

Ekkehard is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Egon Ekkehard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aroni throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ekkehard's waist but Ekkehard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aroni off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Aroni counters with a nice right hand that sends Ekkehard toppling to the canvas! Ekkehard scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Aroni finish him?!
Oh Ekkehard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
