PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles BatzCastelmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). BatzCastelmore's entrance music is Dogtanian France theme. A fine choice. Grant has chosen Set A Fire as his entrance music. Ted Grant told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ted Grant!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grant rushes BatzCastelmore and presses him up against the cage.
Grant blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

BatzCastelmore's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Grant takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Grant shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has BatzCastelmore pinned against the cage. BatzCastelmore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
BatzCastelmore paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
BatzCastelmore throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Grant on the side of the head.
BatzCastelmore scores with the left hand. Grant knows he should have avoided that one.
BatzCastelmore lands with a straight right. Grant didn't see that one coming.
BatzCastelmore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
BOOM! BatzCastelmore lands a beautiful left hook that drops Grant. Grant tries to recover but BatzCastelmore is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Grant lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
