Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damien Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikhael Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Redman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Put Your Lights On by Santana feat Everlast. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mikhael Tomas enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Damien Redman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikhael Tomas! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Redman checks a leg kick. Tomas moves into the clinch. Tomas takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Mikhael Tomas has been cut. Redman prevents a takedown attempt there.
Redman pushes off an throws an elbow but Tomas leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes. Nice elbow from Redman. Tomas goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Redman lands a damaging elbow. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tomas has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Redman's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Redman creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tomas's defenses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redman throws an elbow but it misses.
Tomas is working for takedown but Redman is calmly controlling the position for now. Redman is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Redman throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomas tries for a takedown but Redman manages to get underhooks.
Damien Redman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikhael Tomas. Redman lands a damaging elbow. Tomas dodges an elbow strike from Redman.

Redman lands an elbow inside that Tomas shrugs off. Tomas blocks an elbow strike. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Tomas as Redman tries to tie him up. Redman lands an elbow that stopped Tomas in his tracks for a moment. Tomas is trying to pull guard but Redman turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Tomas avoids a wild elbow strike from Redman. Nice elbow from Redman.
That has opened up Mikhael Tomas's cut even more. Redman on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Redman gets underhooks to prevent Tomas's takedown attempt.

Tomas wants to take the fight to the mat but Redman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Redman throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

This has been an exciting period of action! Tomas is trying to pull guard but Redman has him pressed against the ropes. Redman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Redman throws an elbow that misses.
Tomas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Redman gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Redman wants to stall.
Tomas is looking to control Redman's arms but Redman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tomas has his back to the ropes. Redman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The cut above Mikhael Tomas's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Redman controlling the action here for a moment.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Redman throws an elbow but misses. Tomas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Redman gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tomas is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Redman prevents a takedown attempt there.
Redman comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redman pressing his opponent against the ropes. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Redman tries to stall but Tomas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Redman lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Redman lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Mikhael Tomas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Tomas is looking for a takedown. Tomas manages to pull guard.
Tomas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Redman is one step ahead there. Redman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien Redman dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mikhael Tomas's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
