Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Royce Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Piquette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Royce Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wayne Piquette! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner shoots in for a takedown but Piquette shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Piquette shoots in for a double leg but Turner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. As Piquette looks to move away, Turner throws a big counter combo bu Piquette just gets out of the way. Piquette shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Turner counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Piquette! Turner throws an elbow but Piquette slips to the side and avoids it well. Piquette is trying to improve his position. Turner blocks the strikes from Piquette.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piquette is trying to get back to half guard. Turner controlling the position from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Piquette has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Turner but great work by Piquette. Turner gets back to half guard. Piquette prevents Turner from improving his position. Turner is staying active underneath Piquette, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Turner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Turner is looking to control Piquette's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turner avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner is looking to improve his position.
Turner works his way to full guard. Good work. Turner keeping moving, preventing Piquette from controlling successfully. Piquette pushes down on Turner's leg and manages to get into half guard. Piquette working the head and body with strikes. Turner tries to get to full guard but Piquette has control of the leg. Piquette is keen to just control but Turner is a slippery customer. That's three minutes gone in the round. Piquette trying to control the action but Turner is working from the bottom. Piquette wants to stand but Turner has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Piquette looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Piquette is keen to just control but Turner is a slippery customer. Turner is defending against the submission attempts here by Piquette.
Turner wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Piquette closes the distance and clinches. Turner manages to break the clinch.

Piquette tries to land knees in the clinch but Turner avoids the damage to the body. Piquette has Turner pressed against the cage, preventing Turner from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Turner looking for a takedown. Piquette tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Turner avoids it. Turner is trying to push Piquette away but Piquette has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Wayne Piquette will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Piquette darts in looking for a takedown but Turner gets double underhooks and turns Piquette into the cage. Piquette tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Turner defends well and Piquette ends up having to push Turner into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Turner tries to counter by clinching up but Piquette breaks away and moves out of range. Turner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Piquette to score an easy takedown into full guard. Piquette preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piquette is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Piquette drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Piquette jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piquette stopping the sweep attempt from Turner. Piquette in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Piquette pushes down on Turner's leg and manages to get into half guard. Turner wants to control but Piquette is keeping busy and won't allow it. Turner tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Piquette has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Piquette with good strikes from the mount here! Turner keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Piquette lands a big shot there that rocks Turner but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Piquette controlling his opponent. Piquette looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Turner sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Piquette wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turner keeps working. Piquette moves into full mount! Turner won't be happy about that! Piquette unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Turner wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Piquette celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wayne Piquette!
