Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masahiko Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Callard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Masahiko Kimura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Callard! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ron Honeybunn and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimura tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Callard paws at him with a jab and circles away. A little jabbing left from Callard on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Callard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kimura was well out of range. Poor timing from Callard. A punch lands to the side of Kimura 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Masahiko Kimura has been cut. We've been told by Kimura's head coaches at Fokai Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kimura fails with the takedown. Kimura tries to clinch but Callard moves out of range. Kimura fails with a takedown attempt. Callard swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kimura. Callard lands with a kick to the ribs.
Callard scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Callard leaves Kimura with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masahiko Kimura. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kimura dives in and grabs Callard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Callard pushes down on Kimura's head and hops out. A good leg kick by Callard. Kimura throws a solid leg kick but Callard takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kimura. Kimura gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kimura is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Callard throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kimura on the side of the head. Oh Kimura is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kimura fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kimura tries to clinch but Callard is having none of it. Callard lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rob Callard! Rob Callard decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
