Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Lamoureux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Richer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spencer Lamoureux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Richer!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamoureux misses with a looping right.
Richer fails to land the takedown.
Richer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lamoureux throws a right and a left that Richer avoids nicely.
Richer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lamoureux digs a good body shot into Richer's ribs.

Richer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Richer is trying to control the action in half guard but Lamoureux is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Richer seems content to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Richer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Richer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lamoureux does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Richer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lamoureux is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Richer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Richer's back!
Lamoureux just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Lamoureux is looking to take a break and control but Richer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Richer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lamoureux comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Lamoureux is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Richer.

It looks like Michael Richer has been cut.
Lamoureux is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Lamoureux throws a hook to the side of Richer's head but Richer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Richer changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Richer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lamoureux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Richer somewhat.
