Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between LeRoy Basil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Stephens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, LeRoy Basil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steve Stephens! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Stephens as he checks the leg kick. Stephens misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Basil or perhaps it was just good defense by Stephens, which made it look bad. Stephens stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stephens wants it to stay on the feet. Stephens throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stephens keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. As Basil backs off Stephens throws a huge counter combo but Basil manages to avoid it all. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for LeRoy Basil. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stephens throws a body punch but Basil moves out of range. Stephens looks to score with a jab to the body but Basil is just out of range. Basil with a lazy takedown attempt and Stephens counters with a right hand to the body. Basil takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like LeRoy Basil has been cut. Stephens lands a head kick!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Basil walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Stephens throws a series of punches but Basil avoids them all with ease. Stephens throws a nice looking combination but Basil bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Basil fails with an attempt to clinch.
Basil misses with a takedown attempt - Stephens sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Basil tries to clinch but Stephens is having none of it. Basil blocks a head kick by Stephens.

Stephens gets caught napping as Basil dives in and scores a takedown. Stephens manages to retain guard.
Stephens had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Basil defends it easily. Basil pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stephens is keeping the position for now. Basil postures up.
Basil wants to pass the guard but Stephens is keeping the position. Basil won't allow Stephens to sweep him here.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Basil forces his way into half guard. Stephens manages to get to full guard.
Basil sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stephens's guard. Stephens trying to control here.
Basil looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. We've been hearing good reports from Basil's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Basil is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Basil slips a nice elbow through Stephens's hands, connecting with Stephens's forehead.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Basil works his way into side control. Basil lands a few punches from side control.
Basil decides to stand back up. Basil tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stephens defends well and Basil ends up having to push Stephens into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Stephens swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Basil shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stephens defends it nicely. Basil is breathing heavily. Basil fails with the takedown. A countering left hand to the body from Stephens misses. Stephens throws the kick towards the body but Basil avoids it. Stephens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stephens throws a right hand that Basil ducks under and follows up with a left that Basil also avoids with ease. Basil fails with a takedown attempt.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Stephens scores with a head kick.
Basil looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Stephens lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Basil shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stephens sprawls well. Stephens wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Basil gets slowly back to his feet. A little jabbing left from Stephens on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Basil tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stephens sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Basil somewhat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stephens lands with an overhand left. Stephens stuns Basil with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Stephens dominated that round. The cut man is working on LeRoy Basil's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stephens lands a big head kick that sends Basil tumbling to the mat! Stephens takes a step backwards and waves Basil back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Basil gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stephens to score an easy takedown into full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Basil working a defensive guard here.
Stephens wants to control from the top but Basil keeps moving. Stephens controlling from the top position. We've been informed that Stephens has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Basil wants to sweep here but Stephens controlling him for the moment.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stephens slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Stephens postures up in Basil's guard and throws a big left but Basil blocks it. Basil being controlled here, momentarily.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Basil shoots in for a takedown but Stephens shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Stephens slaps away a takedown attempt from Basil, before circling back to the center of the mat. A countering left hand to the body from Stephens misses. Basil has his takedown stuffed and Stephens counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for LeRoy Basil. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Basil with a poor takedown and Stephens counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Basil off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Stephens follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Basil was out before he hit the floor.
