Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Manny Pacquiao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Kimba! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacquiao lands a two punch combo.
Pacquiao misses with a wild combination.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kimba has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Pacquiao scores with a body shot.
Pacquiao misses the jab. Pacquiao lands the left hand. Pacquiao lands a slapping body shot.
Pacquiao throws a nice looking combination but Kimba bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kimba feints the counter takedown. Pacquiao throws a right hand that Kimba ducks under and follows up with a left that Kimba also avoids with ease. Pacquiao shoots in and bounces Kimba off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kimba throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Pacquiao stays in close to Kimba's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimba wants to sweep here but Pacquiao controlling him for the moment. Pacquiao controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimba is trying to keep Pacquiao in close.
Kimba is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Pacquiao wants to stand but Kimba is controlling his posture from full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kimba is looking to clinch but Pacquiao is avoiding it.
Kimba takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Pacquiao misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pacquiao pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kimba back to the cage. Pacquiao follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Nice sprawl there from Pacquiao as Kimba shoots in. Pacquiao tries to bum rush Kimba with a series of wild strikes but Kimba uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pacquiao closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pacquiao lands in his opponent's guard. Kimba trying to control the position.
Kimba bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pacquiao's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimba content to stall in guard here. Kimba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kimba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kimba in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kimba trying to control the position from guard on top but Pacquiao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kimba slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Pacquiao is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's four minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pacquiao. Kimba has Pacquiao pressed against the cage, preventing Pacquiao from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Pacquiao wants to break free but Kimba has control.
Pacquiao is looking to break free of the clinch but Kimba has double underhooks. Kimba prevents Pacquiao from breaking the clinch. Pacquiao wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kimba has him pressed against the cage. Pacquiao can't break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manny Pacquiao dominated that round. That's time! Pacquiao's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pacquiao throws a combination that misses and Kimba counters by moving into the clinch. Pacquiao working hard to break the clinch. Pacquiao wants to break the clinch but can't.

Pacquiao wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kimba has him pressed against the cage. Kimba drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pacquiao gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kimba tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pacquiao smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pacquiao misses with a wild body shot. Kimba slips a jab and a cross from Pacquiao.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pacquiao throws a body punch but Kimba moves out of range. Kimba steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Pacquiao. Kimba takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Pacquiao throws out a loose jab but Kimba uses good head movement to avoid it. Manny Pacquiao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pacquiao circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Kimba counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pacquiao misses with a combination
and Kimba counters with a single leg into guard. Pacquiao didn't expect that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kimba wants to control from the top but Pacquiao keeps moving. Pacquiao wants to stand up but Kimba is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimba throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pacquiao works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pacquiao wants to stand up but Kimba is controlling him. Pacquiao keeping moving, preventing Kimba from controlling successfully. Manny Pacquiao overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Pacquiao shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pacquiao showed some decent athleticism there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kimba slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kimba looking to sit in guard and control but Pacquiao gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Pacquiao wants to control from the top but Kimba keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kimba has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Pacquiao has passed into side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Manny Pacquiao will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Pacquiao wants to get up but he can't break Kimba's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kimba looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pacquiao passes into side control.

He's persisting with it as Pacquiao sprawls well. Pacquiao wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kimba gets slowly back to his feet. Manny Pacquiao is winning the standup battle so far.

Kimba is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Pacquiao keeping moving, preventing Kimba from controlling successfully. Pacquiao wants to sweep but no luck. Kimba is working Pacquiao over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Pacquiao is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kimba throwing strikes but missing.

Pacquiao throws a right and a left that both miss. Kimba with the counter takedown but Pacquiao avoids it easily. Pacquiao misses with a wild body shot. Billy Kimba has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kimba takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that's the end of the fight! Manny Pacquiao showed his dominance in that final round. Well Pacquiao has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
