Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Solzhenitsyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Homero Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Homero Lopez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sasha Solzhenitsyn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Homero Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solzhenitsyn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lopez misses with a right hand
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lopez thinking.
Solzhenitsyn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Solzhenitsyn throws the left hand but Lopez avoids the punch easily.
Lopez with the counter takedown but Solzhenitsyn avoids it easily.
Lopez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Solzhenitsyn. Solzhenitsyn obviously looking to wear him down.
Solzhenitsyn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lopez.
Solzhenitsyn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Solzhenitsyn blocks a head kick by Lopez.
Lopez misses with a head kick.
Lopez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Solzhenitsyn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lopez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Solzhenitsyn lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Solzhenitsyn checks a low kick from Lopez.
Solzhenitsyn lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Solzhenitsyn stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lopez.
Solzhenitsyn leaves Lopez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Solzhenitsyn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lopez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lopez misses with a head kick.
Lopez misses with a low kick.
Lopez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Solzhenitsyn tries to counter by clinching up but Lopez breaks away and moves out of range.
Lopez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Solzhenitsyn is trying to stand up here but Lopez is controlling him well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lopez working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Lopez wants to pass to mount but Solzhenitsyn is defending the position.
Lopez is controlling the pace.
Lopez is pressing down on Solzhenitsyn's thigh, looking to free his foot. Solzhenitsyn is holding on for now.

Solzhenitsyn is looking to escape.
Lopez is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Solzhenitsyn reverses the position - he's now on top in Lopez's guard.
Lopez has a closed guard, preventing Solzhenitsyn from standing up.
Lopez is trying to control the position but Solzhenitsyn postures up.

Lopez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Solzhenitsyn has picked Lopez up and slammed him! Lopez can't keep hold of the triangle and Solzhenitsyn manages to pass to side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lopez sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Lopez wants to improve his position but Solzhenitsyn is controlling well.
Solzhenitsyn seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Lopez tries to roll over but Solzhenitsyn keeps him under control.
Lopez is trying to control but can't.
Solzhenitsyn wants to stand but Lopez has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Solzhenitsyn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Solzhenitsyn cracks Lopez with an open hand slap.
It looks like Homero Lopez has been cut.
Lopez tries to keep at a distance but Solzhenitsyn has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lopez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Solzhenitsyn smiles and moves away.
Solzhenitsyn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lopezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Solzhenitsyn thumps Lopez with a low kick.
Solzhenitsyn fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lopez feints the counter takedown.
Lopez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Solzhenitsyn can pounce on him.
Solzhenitsyn throws a right and a left that Lopez avoids nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sasha Solzhenitsyn dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Homero Lopez's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A looping hook to the body misses from Solzhenitsyn. Lopez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lopez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Solzhenitsyn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lopez can do to turn this around?
Lopez looking to score a takedown here. Solzhenitsyn is defending well but Lopez drives through and ends up in Solzhenitsyn's guard.
Lopez prevents Solzhenitsyn from getting back to his feet.
Lopez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solzhenitsyn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Solzhenitsyn is looking to stand up but Lopez isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Solzhenitsyn moves in looking to clinch but Lopez pushes him off.
Solzhenitsyn with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lopez lands a head kick. Solzhenitsyn smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lopez pivots, looking for a leg kick but Solzhenitsyn is out of range and Lopez settles back down.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lopez is defended easily by Solzhenitsyn.
Solzhenitsyn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Solzhenitsyn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lopez.
Solzhenitsyn was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Lopez works the jab nicely.
Solzhenitsyn swings for the body but Lopez moves out of range.
Lopez throws a hook but Solzhenitsyn avoids it easily.
Donk. Solzhenitsyn catches Lopez right on the button with a cross.
Lopez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sasha Solzhenitsyn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Solzhenitsyn lands a leg kick that knocks Lopez off balance momentarily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Solzhenitsyn.
Lopez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Solzhenitsyn counters with a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Solzhenitsyn lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lopez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Solzhenitsyn.
Lopez closes the distance and clinches up with Solzhenitsyn, looking for a takedown. Lopez pushes Solzhenitsyn against the cage but Solzhenitsyn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sasha Solzhenitsyn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Homero Lopez.

Solzhenitsyn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Solzhenitsyn tries to bum rush Lopez with a series of wild strikes but Lopez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Solzhenitsyn lands a really nice looking cross but Lopez seems unphased.
Solzhenitsyn goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Lopez is rocked!
Solzhenitsyn cracks Lopez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lopez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Solzhenitsyn pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lopez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sasha Solzhenitsyn!
During a confident post fight interview, Sasha Solzhenitsyn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
