Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Taylor Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Meida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taylor Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thiago Meida! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Meida cracks Gracie with a good jab.
It looks like Taylor Gracie has been cut. Meida has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gracie. Gracie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Meida manages to avoid it. Gracie ducks right into an uppercut from Meida. Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Meida throws out a counter right but Gracie avoids it with no problem. Gracie works Meida's body with a nice hook. Gracie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Gracie throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Meida! But no joy. Gracie has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Mo's ($499) in the buildup to the fight. Gracie tries to clinch up but Meida circles away and keeps his distance. Gracie on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gracie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Meida throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gracie finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. A jab from Meida does it's job there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meida misses with an uppercut. Gracie was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Gracie throws a series of punches but Meida moves out of range. Meida unleashes a big counter combination but Gracie bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Gracie misses with a hook. Gracie looks to land a right hand but Meida moved out of range. Meida lands the left hand. Meida scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice defenses there by Gracie. Meida keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Meida is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Gracie misses with a combination
and Meida counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Meida throws out a powerful jab. Meida works the jab nicely. Meida misses with a right hand and Gracie moves into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A right hook to the body lands for Gracie.
Gracie manages to break the clinch.
Gracie misses the shot to the body. Gracie moves forwards but Meida connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Taylor Gracie's cut is getting worse. Meida is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Gracie had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Gracie misses with an uppercut. Meida saw that one coming. Sloppy strikes from Gracie. Those never looked like landing. It seemed like Meida was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Meida blocks the body kick.
Meida might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Gracie throws a jab but it's blocked by Meida. Gracie closes the distance but Meida moves to the side and Meida connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Meida lands a right and a left and another right! Gracie goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Thiago Meida! Thiago Meida tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
