Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Dynamite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aldo Dynamite!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Dynamite closes the distance and clinches.
Nelson is trying to push Dynamite away but Dynamite has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A left hand lands to the body for Dynamite.
Nelson really is a fat lump.

Dynamite manages to break the clinch.

Nelson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nelson wants to stand and escape but Dynamite is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dynamite throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nelson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dynamite is in Nelson's guard.

Nelson is working an open guard so Dynamite takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Dynamite shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dynamite was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dynamite is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nelson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Nelson is trying to control Dynamite's posture but Dynamite avoids it.

Dynamite is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nelson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nelson!
Nelson wants to get up but he can't break Dynamite's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nelson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Dynamite sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dynamite can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nelson has his hands clasped together but Dynamite extends and breaks Nelson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dynamite.
