Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Pulse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Belle Sebastian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Pulse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Belle Sebastian! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pulse misses with an uppercut. Sebastian saw that one coming. Sebastian lands with a kick to the temple. Pulse shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Pulse tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sebastian was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulse. Sebastian throws a leg kick which misses Pulse's front leg but catches the back leg as Pulse tries to avoid it. Pulse throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sebastian. Sebastian explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Sebastian throws a lazy right hand but Pulse sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pulse fails to land with a series of punches.
Pulse looks to land a left hand but Sebastian moved out of range nicely. Sebastian uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pulse.
As Pulse backs off Sebastian throws a huge counter combo but Pulse manages to avoid it all. Pulse misses with a hook. Sebastian ducked under it nicely. Sebastian uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pulse. Sebastian uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pulse.
Sebastian cracks the inside of Pulse's front leg. Pulse throws a jab but it's blocked by Sebastian.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pulse misses the shot to the body. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sebastian has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Pulse scores with a jab to the jaw. Pulse throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sebastian counters with a low kick, right behind Pulse 's knee. Pulse definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Pulse on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Sebastian showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pulse.
Pulse punishes Sebastian's body with a nice straight punch. Pulse scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pulse rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sebastian counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pulse's knee momentarily. Sebastian uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pulse. Sebastian lands a high kick!
Sebastian fakes the leg kick and cracks Pulse in the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pulse lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pulse looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sebastian scores with a head kick. Pulse tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Sebastian lands a head kick. Pulse smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Sebastian closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pulse quickly recovers to half guard. Sebastian prevents Pulse from improving his position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sebastian in particular looking to stall. Sebastian seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pulse does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sebastian seems to be working for a kimura but Pulse defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pulse taking some punishment here, with Sebastian in his half guard. Sebastian thows a huge punch but Pulse dodges it nicely.

Pulse really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sebastian lands a nice short elbow. Sebastian not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sebastian throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sebastian slips a nice elbow through Pulse's hands, connecting with Pulse's forehead. Sebastian thows a huge punch but Pulse dodges it nicely.
Sebastian thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pulse's head. Sebastian is pressing down on Pulse's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pulse is holding on for now. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Sebastian looks to land a strike but Pulse avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Sebastian postures up and lands a big shot to Pulse's brow. Sebastian looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Belle Sebastian dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sebastian throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Sebastian throws a nice outside leg kick. Pulse rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sebastian counters with a thumping low kick. Pulse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sebastian moves away. Pulse's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sebastian connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pulse scrambles back to his feet. Ben Pulse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sebastian scores with a leg kick.

It looks like Belle Sebastian has been cut. Pulse fails to land with a series of punches.
Sebastian tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Pulse just misses with a punch to the body.
Pulse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sebastian moves away. Sebastian drives through with a takedown into Pulse's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sebastian controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sebastian postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Sebastian is in close to Pulse's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sebastian in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pulse looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sebastian throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pulse works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sebastian has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sebastian wants to control from the top but Pulse keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sebastian throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Pulse throws an overhand right that lands on Sebastian's shoulder, as Sebastian tries to avoid the shot. Sebastian misses with a head kick.
Ben Pulse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sebastian steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pulse. Pulse throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sebastian was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. A head kick misses from Sebastian. Sebastian lands a front kick. Sebastian lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Sebastian cracks the inside of Pulse's front leg. Sebastian lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ben Pulse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pulse's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sebastian under the eye. Sebastian has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Sebastian 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pulse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sebastian fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pulse. Pulse throws a shot from downtown. Sebastian moves away and avoids it. Pulse cracks Sebastian with an open hand slap. A punch combination from Pulse misses. Sebastian drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Pulse defends it well. Pulse looks to score with a jab to the body but Sebastian is just out of range. Pulse falls off balance throwing a combination

Pulse misses with a wild body shot. Sebastian moves out of range as Pulse strikes. Sebastian lands a leg kick that knocks Pulse off balance momentarily. Pulse punishes Sebastian's body with a nice straight punch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pulse throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Sebastian only half commits to the counter leg kick. Sebastian turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sebastian is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pulse. A slapping leg kick lands for Sebastian.

and Sebastian counters with a shoot takedown. Pulse fights it but they end up in guard. Sebastian postures up in Pulse's guard and throws a big left but Pulse blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Belle Sebastian will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Belle Sebastian's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
A nice inside leg kick there by Sebastian. That's going to slow Pulse down. Pulse thuds a left hand into Sebastian's body. Pulse moves into range and connects with a jab. Sebastian feints and as Pulse raises his hands in defense, Sebastian changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Sebastian is in close to Pulse's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sebastian wants to control from the top but Pulse keeps moving. Pulse has momentary wrist control but Sebastian slips an elbow through the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sebastian in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sebastian preventing the sweep. Pulse will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sebastian controlling from the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sebastian displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pulse throws out the jab. Sebastian is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Ben Pulse is winning the standup battle so far. Pulse throws a body shot but no joy. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sebastian is pushing down on Pulse's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pulse is fighting to maintain full guard but Sebastian has managed to sneak the leg through. Pulse is not content to let Sebastian control the position. Pulse is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sebastian scores with a couple of nice shots.

Sebastian keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pulse's head. Pulse looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sebastian puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
