Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Savs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Savs will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Savs!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick from Allen lands but Savs takes it in his stride.
Savs gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bob Savs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Savs is fending him off so far but Allen persists. Nope, Savs circles away and we're back to standing.
Allen misses with a body shot.
Savs misses with the combination.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Savs tries to pull guard but Allen holds him up against the cage and eventually Savs drops back down to his feet.
Savs swings wildly with an uppercut but Allen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Allen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Allen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Savs.
Savs misses with a takedown attempt

and Allen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Savs's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Savs can do anything to dispel that myth.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Allen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Savs has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Allen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Savs fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Allen gets a clinch.

Allen tightens his grip and picks Savs up, before dumping him to the ground. Savs manages to land in guard.
Allen passes Savs's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Allen trying to control from half guard but Savs is working away.
Allen is stalling here. Savs is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Allen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Savs has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Savs fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The ground and pound from Savs seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Allen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Savs off and has taken his back!
Allen is breathing heavily.
Allen lands shots from the back.
Savs holding both Allen 's hands and preventing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Allen is working for a rear naked choke. Savs is not defending it well and Allen has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Savs refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Savs's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tom Allen!
