Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silverback Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lesnar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to go coors!. Yates has chosen Here comes Tecca Nina - Tech N9ne as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Yates! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar closes the distance and clinches. Lesnar lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Yates backwards. Lesnar scores with a shoulder strike. Lesnar lands on the inside with an uppercut. Lesnar tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Yates looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Yates trying to stall but Lesnar improves his position.

Lesnar putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Yates in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Yates stalling the fight.

It looks like Aaron Yates has been cut. Yates working hard to break the clinch. Yates tries to break the clinch but Lesnar is controlling the position. Yates is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Yates is looking to control Lesnar's arms but Lesnar gets an underhook and turns him. Now Yates has his back to the ropes. Lesnar lands a good knee to the midsection. Yates won't want to take too many of those. Yates jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lesnar walks away with a smile on his face. Yates gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lesnar throws a jab when Yates was well out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yates scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yates has his takedown stuffed and Lesnar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lesnar just misses with a punch to the body.
Yates displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lesnar throws out the jab. A nice side step and Yates releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Lesnar misses with a straight right. Yates shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Silverback Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Yates. Yates moves into the clinch. Yates wants a takedown but no success here.
Yates gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lesnar is looking to escape. Lesnar trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Yates is keen to just control but Lesnar is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yates is stalling here. Lesnar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Yates seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lesnar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yates is looking to reverse the position. Lesnar content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Yates tries to improve position but can't. Yates wants to control but Lesnar postures up.

Lesnar wants to stand but Yates is controlling his arm. Yates is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Yates is trying to control Lesnar's posture but Lesnar avoids it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yates rushes Lesnar and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Yates working hard to break the clinch. Yates takes an elbow to the temple. Lesnar with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yates lands with a short shot to the head. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Yates has Lesnar pressed against the ropes.
Lesnar pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes. Yates is looking to take this one to the mat. Lesnar gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Yates.
Yates takes an elbow to the temple. Lesnar lands an elbow inside that Yates shrugs off. Lesnar unloads a knee to the mid-section. Yates looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lesnar lands a nice elbow from the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yates is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Lesnar to keep the fight standing. Yates looking to stall.

Silverback Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Yates. Lesnar takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yates throws a head kick that misses. Lesnar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yates can do to turn this around? Lesnar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lesnar stalks Yates and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Yates's face. Yates staggers backwards, shaken.
That has opened up Aaron Yates's cut even more. Lesnar throws a leg kick that misses. Lesnar scores with a shot to the body.
Yates closes the distance and pushes Lesnar back into the ropes. Yates escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yates slips under a jab from Lesnar. Yates lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Yates circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lesnar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Yates throws a big counter head kick but Lesnar avoids it with no problem. Lesnar is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Yates's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Yates lands a nice hook to Lesnar's body. Lesnar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Yates slips a jab from Lesnar. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lesnar enables Yates to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lesnar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yates wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is keeping the position. Yates throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lesnar wants to get back to his feet but Yates passes into half guard.
Yates throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Yates looks to land a strike but Lesnar avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Yates trying to control the position from guard on top but Lesnar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yates throwing strikes from guard but Lesnar blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yates wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving. Yates won't allow Lesnar to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Yates instigates a clinch. Yates is trying to break free. Yates's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Yates has had enough of the clinch but Lesnar keeps him there for the moment. Yates breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Lesnar. Yates throws out a loose jab but Lesnar uses good head movement to avoid it. Lesnar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Yates looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lesnar gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Yates.

Yates fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lesnar manages to avoid it. Yates moves into the clinch. Yates blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Lesnar has Yates pressed against the ropes, preventing Yates from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Lesnar keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Yates's efforts to push away. Aaron Yates's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aaron Yates's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Silverback Lesnar! In defeat, Aaron Yates stepped up to the mic, saying 'Idk how i lost to this punk'.
