Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Olszewicz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Hecker! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hecker drives through and clinches with Olszewicz against the cage.
Olszewicz is working for takedown but Hecker is calmly controlling the position for now. Still in the clinch, Hecker scores with a nice short uppercut. Hecker misses with a punch to the body.
Olszewicz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hecker is defending well. Olszewicz looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jan Olszewicz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hecker is struggling to control the position. Hecker scores with a hook to the body. A short right from Hecker on the inside. We've been hearing reports that Olszewicz has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Olszewicz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hecker after a bit of a struggle. Olszewicz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hecker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hecker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Olszewicz.
Olszewicz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hecker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hecker digs a right hand into Olszewicz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Olszewicz's gas tank. Olszewicz has Hecker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hecker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hecker goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hecker lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Olszewicz or not. A right hand to the body from Hecker.
The referee is keeping an eye on Hecker - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Hecker lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hecker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Olszewicz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hecker pulls his leg out and moves away.

Hecker lands a shoulder strike.
Olszewicz is rocked! Hecker digs a right hand into Olszewicz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Olszewicz's gas tank. Oh Olszewicz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hecker throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Hecker. Olszewicz tries to score a body lock takedown but Hecker shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Hecker lands a shoulder strike. This has been an exciting period of action! Hecker gets underhooks to prevent Olszewicz's takedown attempt.
Hecker pushes Olszewicz back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Hecker lands a big right hand that drops Olszewicz! The killer instinct kicks in and Hecker finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Hecker!
