Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Jacobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yacob Jakob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nicolas Jacobson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yacob Jakob! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jacobson is looking to take a break and control but Jakob is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jacobson avoids the strikes from the bottom by Jakob. Jacobson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jakob rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jacobson's guard! Nice work there by Jakob! Jacobson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Jakob is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jacobson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jacobson striking off his back but it's not causing Jakob any problems. Jacobson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Jakob trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacobson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jacobson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jakob defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jakob is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jacobson. Jakob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jacobson keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jakob thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jacobson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jacobson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Jakob is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Jakob pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobson is working to get back to half guard.
Jacobson is squirming around, avoiding Jakob's attempts to control the action. Jacobson is trying to reverse the position but instead Jakob has taken his back - oops! Jacobson is really stuck here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jakob tries to keep control of the position but Jacobson is staying busy. Jakob has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Jacobson is defending well but eventually Jakob manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Jacobson has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yacob Jakob!
