The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hairston shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hairston stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Silva lands with a kick to the ribs.
Hairston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hairston is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hairston closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hairston lands in his opponent's guard.

PJ Hairston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
