Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Hairston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Cult Of Personality. PJ Hairston has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, PJ Hairston! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hairston shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hairston stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Silva lands with a kick to the ribs.
Hairston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Silva looking for submissions off his back. Silva trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hairston moves nicely into side control. Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silva struggling a bit here. Hairston has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hairston wants to counter the offense by Silva and move into the clinch position. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hairston throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hairston is in Silva's guard. Hairston wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Hairston wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Hairston looking to pass the guard. Silva throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hairston works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hairston with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hairston is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily. Silva tries to kick Hairston off but Hairston keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hairston content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hairston is looking to advance position but Silva won't allow it. Silva wants to control but Hairston is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hairston controlling the action here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hairston scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Mario Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hairston looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Silva! Hairston throws an elbow but Silva slips to the side and avoids it well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hairston trying to control the position but Silva is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hairston falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silva counters with a solid body kick. Hairston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hairston trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hairston wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hairston wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Hairston might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Silva haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Silva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hairston has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Silva manages to get back to half guard. Hairston trying to control from half guard but Silva is working away. Hairston is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hairston stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hairston closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Hairston getting side control. Silva actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hairston seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hairston seems to be looking for submissions.
Silva is looking to improve his position.
Hairston looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hairston is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Silva tries to roll over but Hairston keeps him under control. Silva looking for submissions off his back. Hairston looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hairston passes to side control. Hairston decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet. Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hairston is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hairston closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hairston lands in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
PJ Hairston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Silva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hairston fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage. Silva utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Hairston gets a trip takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hairston moves into full mount! Silva won't be happy about that! Hairston is standing up, even though he is in mount.

A combination from Silva does no damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. No joy there for Hairston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hairston doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Mario Silva is winning the standup battle so far. Silva misses with a double jab.
Hairston with the counter takedown but Silva avoids it easily. Hairston throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva throws a right hand that Hairston ducks under and follows up with a left that Hairston also avoids with ease. Hairston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hairston working away. Hairston trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom. Hairston scores with punches from side control. You can see the frustration on Silva's face as Hairston controls the position. Silva wants to get back to his feet but Hairston drags him back down. Silva tries to bench press Hairston off him but Hairston keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hairston is trying to get an arm triangle but Silva is defending well. Hairston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Hairston is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Silva is pushing Hairston's head away, looking to escape. Hairston manages to hold on to the position though. Mario Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Silva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Hairston works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to hold on but Hairston pushes him away. Hairston lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hairston lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Hairston's attempts to control the action. Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hairston tries to control but Silva wriggling away. PJ Hairston is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Silva is desperately trying to improve his position but Hairston has a good base and remains in mount.
And that's the end of the fight! PJ Hairston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hairston winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
