The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deadwood feints and then cracks Černư's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Černư down.
Deadwood looks to throw the jab but Černư is out of range.
Černư closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Černư tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Deadwood dodges the ground and pound from Černư.
Černư is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Deadwood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Černư looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Deadwood throws out a leg kick but Černư moves out of range and Deadwood only half commits.

Černư stalks Deadwood and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Deadwood's face. Deadwood staggers backwards, shaken.
Černư changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Deadwood looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Černư looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Deadwood with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
It looks like Derrick Deadwood has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Černư is looking for a kimura here.
Černư is taking a breather. Deadwood says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Deadwood tries to clinch up but Černư circles away and keeps his distance.
Černư drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Deadwood defends it well.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Deadwood wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Černư shoots in and bounces Deadwood off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Černư got a little sloppy there for a moment and Deadwood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Černư has managed to get both his arms back between Deadwood's legs - danger averted.
