Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Twister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rusev Hungary!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Twister shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Twister showed some decent athleticism there.
Twister wants to free his trapped foot but Hungary is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Twister is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hungary looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Twister wants to pass the guard but Hungary is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Twister is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Twister has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Twister wants to take Hungary's back but he can't do it this time.

Twister is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hungary has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hungary!
Twister tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Twister bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hungary's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hungary is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Twister slips nicely into half guard.
Twister works his way into full mount!

Twister swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hungary is now in Twister's guard. A big mistake from Twister there, giving up the dominant position!
Twister looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hungary is one step ahead there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Twister looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hungary passes into half guard.
Twister is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hungary thows a huge punch but Twister dodges it nicely.
Twister is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hungary's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hungary's back!
Hungary trying to control the hands but Twister won't let him.

Twister is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Twister sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Hungary taps out!
