And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Bungy!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bungy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Peterson to the ground. Bungy is now in Peterson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bungy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Peterson's guard.
Peterson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Peterson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bungy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bungy looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peterson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Peterson working for a triangle but Bungy defends it easily.
Peterson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bungy is controlling him.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Peterson tries to clinch there but Bungy circles away.
Bungy let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Otto Peterson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Peterson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bungy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bungy moves into range and clinches up with Peterson.

Bungy turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Bungy jumps guard and drags Peterson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Peterson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bungy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bungy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bungy!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bungy is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Peterson is trying to get back to his feet but Bungy has full control of the position and if anything, Peterson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Peterson prevents Bungy from getting a body triangle.

Bungy controlling the position well here. Peterson rolled but Bungy kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bungy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bungy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peterson to the mat! Peterson manages to get full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bungy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Peterson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Peterson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bungy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Peterson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Peterson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bungy is aware though and is defending well.

Peterson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Peterson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bungy controls the pace.
Bungy wants to control from the top but Peterson keeps moving.
Peterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Peterson is looking to stand up but Bungy isn't so interested in that idea.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
