Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barry Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Rocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocker has chosen Ki:Theory - Stand By Me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ricky Rocker told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Allen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Rocker! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocker wants to land a leg kick but Allen is out of range. Rocker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rocker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Allen throwing a counter right hand but Rocker manages to avoid it. Allen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rocker can pounce on him.
Allen tries to move into range but Rocker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Allen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Rocker throws a low kick but Allen moves out of range easily. Allen closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rocker moves out of range of the strikes. Allen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rocker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Allen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rocker misses with a low kick. We've been told by Allen's head coaches at The Barracks - LOD that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Rocker cracks the inside of Allen's front leg. This has been an exciting period of action! Allen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rocker drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Allen defends it well. Allen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rocker.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rocker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Allen. Allen connects with a crisp jab. Allen throws a leg kick that is checked and Rocker counters with a head kick. Rocker drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Rocker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rocker, right into the meat.
Allen throws the left hand but Rocker avoids the punch easily. Allen ducks under a wild hook from Rocker. Rocker throws a body shot but no joy. Allen moves out of range as Rocker strikes. Allen moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Allen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jab, jab by Allen - just one landing. This has been an exciting period of action! A big left from Rocker misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rocker. Rocker is trying to move to mount but Allen reverses beautifully and ends up in Rocker's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allen preventing the sweep. Allen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rocker is keeping the position for now. Rocker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Rocker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Allen escapes and throws Rocker's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Allen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Rocker is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rocker stops Allen from passing to mount. Rocker tries to improve position but can't. Allen controls the position from side control. Rocker manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Allen wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ricky Rocker will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Rocker drops his hands momentarily and Allen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. That kick from Rocker tenderised Allen's leg. Allen is trying to keep his angry face on. Rocker lands a nice looking body shot.

Rocker is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. A slow jab from Rocker misses its intended target. Allen is looking for a counter combo. No joy there for Allen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rocker motions for Allen to come forward. Rocker throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A little feinted left hand from Allen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Allen loads up on a big right hand but Rocker slips the punch. A jab from Rocker misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rocker connects with a body shot that sends Allen's belly button to the back. Rocker jabbing away but nothing is landing. It looked like Allen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Rocker throws a hook but Allen avoids it easily. Allen throws a quick inside leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Allen misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocker fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Allen. Rocker slips under a jab from Allen. Rocker slips under a jab. Some wild striking there from Allen.

Allen walks into a stiff left hand from Rocker. Allen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Rocker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Allen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rocker. That's four minutes gone in the round. Allen throws a leg kick but Rocker sees it coming and checks it nicely. Allen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Rocker lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Allen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nice uppercut there from Rocker. Rocker misses with a straight left. Rocker scores with a leg kick.
Allen throws a jab but it's blocked by Rocker. Rocker thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Allen if he has to take too many more of those.
Allen moves out of range of the strikes. Allen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A big left from Allen misses. Rocker throws a right hand that Allen ducks under and follows up with a left that Allen also avoids with ease. Allen is looking to chop away at Rocker's legs. Rocker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Allen was well out of range. Poor timing from Rocker. Rocker throws a hook to the side of Allen's head but Allen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A solid leg kick lands there for Rocker.

Ricky Rocker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

This has been an exciting period of action! Allen misses with a right hand and Rocker counters with an outside leg kick.

Allen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Allen wants it to stay on the feet. Barry Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Rocker. A low kick from Allen is predictable there and Rocker counters with a good low kick that Allen was not able to check. Rocker looks to score with a jab to the body but Allen is just out of range. Rocker jabs at Allen's body. Allen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Allen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rocker fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Allen checks it well. Allen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rocker. That did some damage! Allen throws a quick inside leg kick.

Allen attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Allen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rocker attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Rocker throws a leg kick and Allen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Allen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rocker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Allen as he jumps to the side.

Rocker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Allen. It looked like Allen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Allen looks to land a right hand but Rocker moved out of range. Rocker looks to land a right hand but Allen moved out of range. Rocker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Allen in his tracks. Rocker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Allen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rocker. It looked like Allen was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Rocker throws an overhand right that lands on Allen's shoulder, as Allen tries to avoid the shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Allen. Allen takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Rocker throws out a counter right but Allen avoids it with no problem. Rocker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Allen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Rocker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Allens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rocker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Allen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen wants to improve his position but Rocker is controlling well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rocker working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Rocker is looking to advance position but Allen won't allow it. Allen is looking to control Rocker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Allen avoid being mounted? Allen has hold of Rocker's hands but Rocker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rocker missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Allen is trying to get back to full guard. Rocker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rocker frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Allen blocking the ground and pound. Allen tries to reverse the position but Rocker maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocker has hold of Allen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Allen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rocker throws a strike there. Allen manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Rocker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Allen keeps working. Allen wants to get back to full guard but Rocker has mounted him! Rocker is landing with some decent strikes but Allen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Ricky Rocker dominated that fourth round. That's time! Allen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Allen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rocker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rocker is trying to get an arm triangle but Allen is defending well. Rocker throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The strikes coming from Rocker are missing the target in this wave of attacks. What's Allen going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Allen struggling a bit here. Rocker trying to control the position but Allen is working away. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Rocker pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Barry Allen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rocker throws a chopping leg kick but Allen manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Allen scores with a leg kick.

Good leg kick by Allen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rocker throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Allen looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Rocker ducks right into an uppercut from Allen.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricky Rocker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rocker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
