Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dana Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tucker Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dana Richard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tucker Smith! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Smith duly obliges.
It looks like Dana Richard has been cut. Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Richard punching from the bottom.
Richard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Smith performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Richard is trying to control but Smith passes into side control!
Richard tries to escape but Smith is in control. Smith decides to take the fight back to the feet. Richard takes a head kick and keeps coming.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Richard to the mat! Richard manages to get full guard. Smith stands up from guard. Let's bang! Richard tries to keep at a distance but Smith has taken the fight into the clinch. Richard tries to pull guard but Smith holds him up against the cage and eventually Richard drops back down to his feet.
Smith lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Smith is trying to work for a kimura but Richard is defending well.
Richard blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smith. Richard tries to kick Smith off but Smith keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Smith controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith not landing any meaningful shots this time. Richard looking for submissions off his back. Richard trying to hold on to Smith's head to control him but Smith postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Richard looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Richard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Smith stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Richard to get to his feet. Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Smith breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richard on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Smith closes the distance and clinches. Smith decides to pull guard. Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Richard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smith works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Richard passes Smith's left leg - he's now in half guard. Richard lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Smith moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tucker Smith dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dana Richard's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Richard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Richard persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing. Smith clinches with his opponent.
Smith gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Smith trying to control but Richard is working from the bottom. Richard working for a triangle but Smith defends it easily.

Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith slips nicely into half guard. Smith passes the guard and advances to mount! Smith trying to control but he's not successful this time. Richard gets back to half guard. Richard is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard. Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Richard trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Smith avoids the attempt from Richard to control. Richard is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Smith throws some wild stikes that Richard manages to avoid easily.
Smith punching from mount but Richard doing a good job of avoiding damage. Smith thowing shots but they're missing. Smith throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith working for a submission but Richard is keeping him at bay. Smith avoids the attempt from Richard to control. Smith working for a guillotine from mount but Richard is in no mood to give up. Smith controlling his opponent. Richard throws some wild strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Smith sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Richard wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away. Smith looking to control and managing it successfully. Richard tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Richard is squirming around, avoiding Smith's attempts to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tucker Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dana Richard's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Smith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Smith trying to control the action but Richard is working from the bottom. Richard throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Smith throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Richard struggling a bit here. Tucker Smith has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richard is pushing Smith's head away, looking to escape. Smith manages to hold on to the position though. Smith looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Richard is avoiding damage well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Richard gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Richard missing with punches from the bottom.
Richard is trying to stand.
Richard wants to control but Smith is keeping busy and won't allow it. Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Richard keeps working.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith slips under a jab. Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Richard throwing a counter right hand but Smith manages to avoid it. Richard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Richard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily. Smith tries to counter with a clinch but Richard shakes him off and moves away. Smith has managed to clinch.
Richard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Smith creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Richard's defenses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richard being controlled against the cage. Smith will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Richard up against the cage. Richard looking for a takedown. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smith stalling the fight.
Richard looking to throw knees to the head but Smith is blocking nicely.
Richard jumps guard but Smith turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dana Richard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Smith is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richard blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smith. Smith trying to control the pace. Richard is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard. Smith is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Richard flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Tucker Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
