Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Tinkl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoddy Body (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Tinkl! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shoddy Body! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Body misses. Tinkl misses with a leg kick and Body cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tinkl throws a lazy head kick and Body counters with a nice double leg into guard. Tinkl tries to strike from the bottom.
Body seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Body wants to pass the guard but Tinkl is keeping the position. Body stays in close to Tinkl's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Body drops back looking for a leg! Tinkl is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tinkl manages to kick Body off! Body jumps back into Tinkl's guard. Tinkl had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Body defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tinkl controls Body momentarily but Body frees himself. Body trying to control the position from guard on top but Tinkl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Body pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tinkl is keeping the position for now. Tinkl working for a triangle but Body defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Body lands a couple of digs. Body being controlled here momentarily. Body trying to control the position from guard on top but Tinkl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Body wants to pass the guard but Tinkl is keeping the position. Body wants to control from the top but Tinkl keeps moving. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Body tries to free his leg and advance position but Tinkl is retaining full guard. Body must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Body works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Body passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tinkl! Body prevents Tinkl from getting the reversal. Body scoring with strikes but Tinkl is staying in there. Tinkl is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at World Combat Gym - NY, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Tinkl gets back to half guard. Body wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tinkl keeps working. Body is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Body is looking to take a break and control but Tinkl is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tinkl trying to control but Body postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Body is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Tinkl keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tinkl sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Body tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tinkl knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Body working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Tinkl's thigh. Tinkl counters though and makes it back to full guard. Tinkl is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Body defends well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Body trying to control the position from guard on top but Tinkl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shoddy Body dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It looked like Tinkl was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Tinkl shoots in looking for a takedown but Body manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tinkl's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tinkl shoots in but Body avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Tinkl. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tinkl shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Body counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Body wants to pass the guard but Tinkl is keeping the position. Body wants to control from the top but Tinkl keeps moving. Tinkl doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tinkl has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Body can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Body trying to control the position from guard on top but Tinkl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Body trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tinkl has his feet on Body's thighs here. He's pushed Body off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Body screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
