Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mat Cauton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cauton has chosen Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D) as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mat Cauton! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cauton moves into range and clinches up with Mir. Cauton throws a head punch that misses. Cauton lands a left hand.
Cauton scores with a shoulder strike. Mir tries to pull guard but Cauton holds him up against the cage and eventually Mir drops back down to his feet.
Mir drags the fight down to the ground.
Mir wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Cauton is now in half guard. Mir is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mir is working hard here to advance position. Cauton is tying to control. Mir wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mir is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir is looking to escape. Mir is looking to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mir shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mir moves into the clinch. Mir has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Cauton clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Cauton tries to break free.
Cauton wants to get back to his feet. Mir lands shots from the back.
It looks like Mat Cauton has been cut. Mir tries to keep control of the position but Cauton is staying busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cauton is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Cauton drives through with a takedown into guard. Cauton gets to his feet - Mir follows without any prompting. Cauton is looking to clinch. Cauton closes the distance and clinches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cauton has Mir pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mir manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Mir throws a head punch that misses. Mir drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mir has Cauton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cauton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mir is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cauton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cauton lands an elbow that stopped Mir in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. Cauton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mir smiles and moves away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cauton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cauton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cauton looks gassed! Cauton tries to clinch up. Mir shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cauton's guard. Mir with a flurry of punches that miss. Cauton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mir is one step ahead there. Mir throws a big right hand that misses. Mir thows a big elbow that misses. Mir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir postures up in Cauton's guard and throws a big left but Cauton blocks it. Mir scoring with punches to the head and body. Cauton can't keep his opponent in guard - Mir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cauton wants to improve his position but Mir is controlling well.
Cauton blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mir. Mir passes to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mir cracks Cauton with a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!
Mir closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cauton to the mat! Cauton manages to get full guard. Mir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cauton is keeping the position for now. Cauton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Mir trying to control but Cauton is working from the bottom. Mir works over Cauton with some ground and pound from guard. Mir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mir slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Mir goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cauton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mir but great work by Cauton. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mir is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir is trying to get back to full guard. Mir slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Mir wants to sweep here but Cauton controlling him for the moment. Cauton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cauton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cauton postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mir looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Cauton won't allow Mir to get back to his feet. Mir trying to keep a closed guard but Cauton is proving a slippery customer.
Cauton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cauton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cauton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mir counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cauton! Mir controlling the pace for now. Cauton is trying to escape the mount.
You get the feeling that Cauton really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Mir looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Mir wants to finish this one by submission but Cauton is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mir. Cauton is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Mir has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cauton's face.
This has been an exciting period of action! Mir cracks Cauton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mir trying to control but he's not successful this time. A nice elbow there by Mir. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mir landing strikes from the mount and Cauton is in trouble! Mir scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Cauton?
That has opened up Mat Cauton's cut even more. Mir lands a heavy elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Mir scores a takedown into full mount! Mir landing strikes from the mount. Cauton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mir cracks Cauton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The cut above Mat Cauton's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Mir is in the full mount, landing strikes. A nice elbow there by Mir.
Mat Cauton's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mat Cauton's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Frank Mir!
