Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zbermat Serlal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Sanford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serlal comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zbermat Serlal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Sanford! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanford throws a series of punches but Serlal avoids them all with ease. Sanford avoids a punch combination nicely.
Serlal slips under a jab from Sanford. Nice uppercut there from Serlal.
It looks like Fred Sanford has been cut. Sanford tries to score with a low kick but Serlal moves his leg out of the way. Sanford lands a nice looking kick to the body. Serlal takes a step back to recover. Fred Sanford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Serlal scores with a sloppy right hand. Sanford should have avoided that one. Sanford throws the kick towards the body but Serlal avoids it. Serlal appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Serlal checks a leg kick nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanford throws a front kick aimed at Serlal's knee but Serlal avoids it well. Serlal swings for the body but Sanford moves out of range.
Sanford misses with a double jab.
Serlal tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sanford defends well and Serlal ends up having to push Sanford into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sanford fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serlal takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Sanford scores with a three punch combo!
Serlal looks to land a combination but Sanford avoids it well. A little jabbing left from Sanford on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sanford, right into the meat.
Sanford feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Serlal's calf. Serlal misses with a looping left. Serlal misses with an uppercut. A solid body kick from Sanford. Nice cross by Sanford. Serlal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sanford pinned against the cage. Sanford gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Serlal takes a kick to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Serlal displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sanford throws out the jab. Serlal was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Sanford uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Serlal. Sanford swings away with a leg kick that misses. Sanford walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Serlal moves into range and connects with a jab. Serlal misses with a body shot.
An inside leg kick lands from Sanford. Sanford fails in his attempt to clinch. Sanford pushes Serlal up against the cage in a clinch. Sanford missing with knees to the body.
Sanford tries a knee to the head but Serlal blocks it.
Sanford with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Serlal is trying to pull guard but Sanford has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zbermat Serlal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Serlal fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanford pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sanford lands with a slapping head kick. Serlal ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Serlal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanford was well out of range. Poor timing from Serlal. Serlal is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Serlal tries to keep at a distance but Sanford has taken the fight into the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Serlal. Serlal successfully pulls guard.
Sanford passes Serlal's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sanford thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Serlal's head. Serlal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Serlal is pressing down on Sanford's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sanford preventing the sweep. Serlal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Serlal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanford gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serlal tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sanford with a flurry of punches that miss. Sanford has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Serlal is proving hard to escape from. Serlal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanford gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Serlal bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanford's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Serlal looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Serlal is working hard here to advance position. Serlal stands up over Sanford, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Sanford dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fred Sanford's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sanford lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Serlal on the wrong end of a nice jab. Serlal ducks under a wild hook from Sanford. A jab from Sanford finds it's way through Serlal's defenses. Serlal lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Serlal connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That has opened up Fred Sanford's cut even more. Sanford has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Serlal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Serlal throws out a loose jab but Sanford uses good head movement to avoid it. Sanford with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sanford looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Serlal attempts a counter takedown but Sanford avoids it well and moves away. Serlal throws a lazy right hand but Sanford sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sanford avoids the body shot from Serlal.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sanford! But no joy. Sanford misses with a low kick. Serlal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sanford throws a big shot that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanford tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Serlal misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Sanford counters with an inside leg kick. Sanford feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Serlal's calf. Sanford scores with a head kick.
Serlal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Serlal not landing any meaningful shots this time. Serlal throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Serlal looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serlal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sanford has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Sanford is trying to get back to full guard. Sanford keeps trying to improve his position. Sanford moves into full guard.
Serlal sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sanford's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanford is looking to improve his position.
Sanford is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Serlal scores with a couple of nice shots.
The cut above Fred Sanford's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Sanford regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Serlal. Serlal postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanford keeping full guard, as Serlal tries to pass. Serlal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sanford wants to sweep here but Serlal controlling him for the moment. Serlal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanford swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanford tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Serlal advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Serlal is looking to pass Sanford's guard but actually Sanford recovers to full guard. Serlal stopping the sweep attempt from Sanford. Serlal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Serlal passes Sanford's left leg - he's now in half guard. Serlal works his way into side control. Sanford can't do much from the bottom here. Sanford is working to avoid the ground and pound but Serlal connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
